Beautiful peaceful Grand
Kotnalaon 15/03/2017 10:16This was a short 2 day visit and the area grand beautiful peaceful with great hospitality. The rooms are big. The backwater experience almost complete. a central pool. But justt that the bar worked only beer and wine. Great food too.

CHEATERS, TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE
Gary_91286on 16/08/2015 18:43First of all PLEASE dont go by the pictures u see here, this resort is not on the backwaters its next to a small lake and besides they never give u rooms in this water facing resort anyway. The Lake village is a small part (i believe 4 cottages) of a business hotel Windsor castle, which is 45 minutes from kumarokom. We made reservations for this place after seeing the pictures but like many other travellers point out they put us up in their land locked business hotel instead. They always claim when u get there that they have no rooms in the other one. Nobody knows about this place anyway, on the way we got lost and could not find the place, the locals only know of windsor castle. The front desk never picks up its phone, we called umpteen times. Once when they did pick up but they were extremely unhelpful. After much struggle we get there and we are faced with the most inhospitable staff at the front desk, He was extremely rude and uncourteous, flat out refused to give us the rooms we had booked and payed for, and even went out to say 'this is all u will get u can leave if u dont want it'. The attitude of the staff, the state of the room and the whole cheating us into booking with misleading information on the website, ruined our entire kumarakom experience. We checked out and took a room elsewhere, it was too much to bear. Please Please dont get fooled by these pictures.

abcBangaloreon 16/08/2015 18:09We went to Kumarrakom for a conference and initially checked into this hotel. We were denied cottages by the receptionist despite having payed for them earlier and were allotted rooms in the so called Windsor Castle. Only the Tudors could have dealt with the staff of the hotel- downright arrogant and rude, treating us as though we were doing a favour on them by staying there. After a heated war of words, we checked in, but were so disappointed that we changed hotels the very same day. It is way better to book a hotel near the backwaters than be treated so badly at this place. Avoid at all costs.
