Good overall, but let down by pool area
Familyoffourton 29/08/2017 18:13Stayed as a family of four in a suite on half board.
Accommodation. Room and bathrooms well-furnished and good size. Good housekeeping.
Food. Breakfast buffet is good. Dinner buffets are well prepared but limited in range - if you are staying for an extended period it gets repetitive if you are not vegetarian. Staff are very attentive and willing to help.
Beach/grounds. Nicely presented grounds, beach is a little disappointing (debris and jellyfish) but I understand management cant fully control as public.
Pool. One main pool (another for Club room guests and a small kids splash pool) - limited in size, quite tired - surprising for a hotel of this scale and quality. Nice caves and waterfall feature.
Staff. Generally very attentive and helpful. Some disappointing defensive interactions with junior management in trying to resolve issues (evidence on this site in reply to critical posts). But staff good day to day which is what usually matters.
Overall good but expected better given reviews on here. Previously we visited the Taj Exotica, which whilst far from faultless IMHO is better overall if moderately more expensive option.

Shraddha Kon 27/08/2017 07:30The Leela is though a drive consuming trip from airport but once you are there you can enjoy the lavish greens and the huge rooms.. the welcome drinks and freebie wine is the best... all the rooms open to your own private garden... the walk to the beach soaks you in the best maintained gardens with your own private beach. The lifeguards ensure your safety on the beach.. you are alone yet secured... the management and staff with their smiles and hospitality get a big thumbs up... the food is good and you can enjoy all the cuisines
A romantic setup for long walks and me or us time at the relaxing spas
For the ones who wish for tranquillity amazing property and awesome memories
Must visit away from North goa and who wish for MORE from Goa and wish to treat themselves for luxury stay

Tip:
There is nothing close by from the hotel so if you plan to stay longer ensure you have a vehicle if you want to go around
Fishermans wharf is 5 mins away and a must go place.
Downside:
The hotel food is overrated; if you plan to stay only at the property then would advise to take the complete package as it's value for money
Cycling is payable but no good quality ones plus you can't take it out of the property which is lame!
Overall a good place with family and kiddos

It's good for business meetings. The frontdesk and room servixe was good. The hotel has many amenities which you can use in free time. There swimming pool is too good.
You have to visit, to experience it. The best hospitality ever !!!

Every member of the leela, goa made me and my bestie so comfortable. We felt so secured in such a huge property. Nobody invaded our privacy but at the same time they ensured we were comforted at all times. Its not the infracture but its the people who make the property No. 1 & The Leela, Goa deserves every bit.
To the TEAM, forgive me for not remembering the names but Ovina, the Manager at the Italian Restaurant, the steward from In-room dining who opened the sparkling wine for us, the lady at the salon, the staff at buffet breakfast, the valet (Mr. Fransis or Mr. Fernando) who was so humorous & jovial and practically everyone else. Great Job.
Thank you for making our stay so wonderful and worth remembering.
Would definitely recommend everyone to stay here in case your looking out for something in South Goa.
Will surely visit again soon.
