I went to this place after (frying no online )calling to the host conforming availability of 3 cottages in eavning around 4 o'clock and then drove to this place which is 15 km away from nainital which took us some 45 minutes to reach and when we reached the place person I was told to contact wasn't present and was told to wait meanwhile we were shown 1 cottage for which we agreed but were told to wait and after 45 minutes when I asked them they said person ramesh is still not back having no mobile signal I had to go 500 Metor to call back the host to get the ramesh and was politely told that they are going to sent him so when went back again I asked those guys to at least serve us tea for which we will pay you but we're told we don't have milk by then it was already 2!hours wait we finally met mr ramesh who showed us rooms which were in under construction building and said he can give us only these when told that when we arrive they we were told that you have availability of cottage and that was the reason we waited he said I can only give these only. finally we were so upset and tiered with kids along had too look for some in dark in that isolated place.

When you see pictures on the internet it just looks serenely beautiful but it is different!

The Food, hospitality, cleanliness, everything is just fine - lovely! Dealing is very clear & no hidden costs or cheating - very glad for that!

But the birding resort is jumbled up with huts n huts around! All what you see around is cottages. Plus, the resort below which is Camp Mehi has children camps going on which can be really annoying n noisy at nights n early mornings! Birds...? Excuse me ...

The property is nice and cool. They offered tasty food, The ambience is good for bird watchers. The hotel staffs are very much helpful and always ready to cater good service with smiling face. We stayed for a couple of night in an attic room. It was excellent for a family in reasonable budget.

Amazing stay in natural surroundings

We visited nest cottages in Long Good Friday weekend, it is situated in small district of pangot.
Location: There are very few houses over there, it is mainly the cottages and nearby campes which are present in the village.
We had difficulty in finding the location as it is not properly marked in google maps plus there is no board which hotel has marked for the travellers. One should ask after reaching pangot about the cottage location.
Hotel amenities: Comfortable rooms with beautiful balcony view. They serve only tea in the room as food is served at a common area till 9/10pm.
Food: Breakfast was delicious with a good variety. It was like home cooked food.
Negative point: The only thing is that it is situated very near to camps which takes away country side experience as there is constant noise and even loud music at night.

The place quite peaceful. It has good view of mountain range. It is 13km from Nainital a place called Pankot. It is no mobile access so plan your trip keeping in mind. It is very much away from the noisy Nainital. Food is cooked as per your choice. People are very very courteous and service oriented. You need to take your own vehicle and first aid. GPS on google map shows a wrong location so be careful. You need to take a left from Himalyan view restaurant at Pankot
