I stayed in this resort for two days. The hotel staff does not have any sense of hospitality . the rooms are badly maintained. basic facility are not provided - no hand towels or tissue paper , Ac was not working . When i complained they changed the room.
The location of the resort is a few kilometers away from the main town , but has a wonderful view of the beach as well as access to beach. that is the only plus point of this resort

Pathetic, Dingy, Damp Rooms - Worst Hotel Ever

From Day 1, the AC started dripping water making the whole room wet. The carpet got wet too. We are in the second day today and the AC is still dripping water even after maintenance guys "fixed" it 10 times already.
The buffet breakfast was the worst ever I have had in years. Dead cold poori & tea, sugary juice. Service was just pathetic. I waited for 20 minutes in front of the juice counter asking for an empty glass. Having waited for it so long, I dropped the idea. Had tea instead, which was very sweet and cold. Asked for a wine opener last night, which still hasn't arrived (11am). No hot water in the bathroom. Reception service is terribly slow. Room service intercom not available, so reception will patch you to them.
I would not recommend this to anyone and I'm sure I will never ever come back, even if they give me a free stay.

Memorable stay except for food

We were a group of 3 families each with a child.. Stayed there for 1 night in a premium seas facing cottages.. Rooms are clean and neat although small.. Private beach entry is closed after 7pm..pool s awesome.. Only drawback is food which is not only costly but terrible..better to take food from outside

My first visit to Pondicherry

My first trip to Pondicherry...we stayed in cottages at Ashok beach resort. Beautiful property, clean rooms, good service, private beach. We enjoyed our stay. If I have to point out a draw back then it will be pool, they could have better maintained it. Since we were exploring eat outs outside resort, can't comment much on food, breakfast provided was good.

Conflict information has been provided by different Staff.
There is no service charge as per govt. rule. but this resort charge extra service charge i.e. without quality service. and also in Restaurant. We get answer that we don't come under Central Govt. Rule.
There is no proper information with detail to first timer like us.
Before enter in to room pls. check it's door, bathroom, bed etc. there is no hygienic cleaning. You will find small insects, baby cockroaches in bathrooms. By paying so much amount I think we can stay at better place.
We don't find this resort of ITDC categories. I have seen lots of resort in and around India of ITDC ranking.
Yes, Maintaining of Lawns, swimming Pool, Entrance, passage, was very good.
But Room service, giving information regarding charges of Taxies, Autos, is poor.
They also don't have PRTC information or Time table with Reception. If they claim they are under ITDC, Hotel must have information for tourist under ITDC rule book.
