Great location lovely staff
Rachel Hon 17/07/2017 13:52Perfect location for the seafront and attractions
Unfortunately it's not worth £183.50 for one night, more like £60!!
Positives- lovely staff, clean
Negatives- old and shabby double room, very very creaky uncomfortable bed, very small, basic, run down, breakfast was rubbish it was cereal, breads fruit , processed burger cheese & ham, we were very disappointed. Very noisy toilet & shower which doesn't work well. I would of been much happier paying £60 as it's most definitely not worth any more then that, bitterly disappointed
Good Value, Perfect Location
GinKenton 05/07/2017 14:53Stayed for 2 nights. There were 3 of us so we had a triple room. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable with good bedding. Yes, it is an old hotel so a bit tired in places but it has a lot of charm. Good location. Breakfast was continental but there was cereal, toast, ham, cheeses, croissants, fresh fruit, jam etc. and also fresh coffee so all in all plenty to choose from. The staff are very helpful. Would stay again if in Brighton.
Good location but feels tired
frankofanon 03/07/2017 17:54We were four friends spending one night at the Queensbury and we had booked a four bed room. It was in the basement without any view, which is understandable and we didn't expect anything else. The room had a separate toilet and a separate shower room. The latter seemed to have been added at a later stage and its walls did not go all the way up to the ceiling. It worked ok apart from the fact that the water took forever to go down the drain and showering more than 5-10 minutes would have caused a minor flooding. The beds were comfortable but there was only a reading lamp for one of the beds. Breakfast was basic, cereal, toast, ham, cheese, juice and coffee/tea. Our stay coincided with some major event so hotel rooms were scarce which can explain the rather high price we paid for it. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was great.
Great location and place
Jos Won 01/07/2017 15:24The Cons : it is an old Edwardian? building in need of some modernisation
The Pros : it is an old Edwardian? building and not some sterile, new Hotel. It has lots of charm and clean. The rooms might be a little dated but who cares when you are out all day? The rooms were cleaned each day, the complimentary tea, coffee & biscuits were replenished each day and weren't generous in their amounts.
It is centrally located. Right by the i360 and a 1 minute walk to the front! No parking, but there is a secure underground car park for £12 a day right outside. There are 24 hour convenience stores just around the corner and a brief walk brings you to the main shopping centre.
The staff are friendly, polite and helpful. A LOVELY continental style breakfast is included in the price and is served from 7.30 until 11am, so great if you fancy an early start to the day or a lie in.
Thoroughly recommend and if we return to Brighton we will stay here again!
Birthday night out
Lloyd Hon 14/06/2017 21:07Great place to crash for the night, beds comfy, rooms are basic which didnt matter as we didn't stay in them for long really just to sleep. Location was brilliant parked in the underground car park directly opposite the hotel, very close to the beach and about 15-20min walk to the pier. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Would consider staying here next time im in Brighton for the night. We were on the top floor lots of steps and no lift just to bear in mind if your not to good with stairs, oh and please put bigger fans in the rooms it was really warm in there the small fan didnt do alot 👍
