What People are saying

Nice but very hot

Lauragauon 26/11/2015 20:42

We stayed for one night where in the garden room which when booked I initially thought we would have a garden but we didn't :( being in the main square in Brighton now I totally understand, this hotel is above a gay dungeon be aware, we went to a party and came back to men head to toe in leather studded outfits which did not bother us but was a shock! The room was extremely hot, but we managed to get to sleep, they also forgot about us upstairs but was good as we where dying of hangover's so the extra 2 hours sleep done us good, the place is done out lovely and we would stay again in winter as would be a bearable temperature.

Hotel closed down when we arrived. :(

We had booked this trip a few months ago through Lastminute, but been offered an upgrade on the phone when I phoned the hotel directly so we ended up paying more. Very excited about out trip yet when we got there, there was no one in.

The hotel looks like it has been closed down.

We drove down all the way from Nottingham, and had to drive back.

Completely gutted and wasted so much time and effort. Haven't heard one word from the owners for a refund or for an apology.

Avoid.

Does this hotel exist?!

Very miffed! We had a booking, showed up and nobody was in the building! LUCKILY we had booked through an external company and they managed to relocate us - however this took 2 hours and completely ruined our plans, and also my birthday!

No idea what the cause of nobody being in the building and hope to have some kind of explanation soon. Trip was booked for 7th November 2015

Last minute booking but lovely :)

Just stayed at this hotel 23rd-25th October, booked it last minute for somewhere to crash during our weekend in Brighton and to be honest, it was great. Its affordable, close to town and the sea front, dan and wendy were welcoming and easy to talk to, treated us very well, we had a laugh and conversation with them which is rare to get with hotel staff and they made our stay more relaxing and cosy then we expected. We had access to a lovely room for first night and took advantage of a jacuzzi which helped after a long day of travelling and working friday. It was just a nice place to stay.

If anyone has bad things to say about this place, then well your wrong and expect too much. You probably compare it to the Hilton or something....

(The only down side to the hotel is no on site parking but it wasnt a major issue as parking is opposite and cheaper then the side roads)

Dan and wendy, thank you for your hospitality and making our stay easy, relaxing and smooth. We will definitley stay at your townhouse hotel again if we stay in Brighton!
And also thank you for the Prosecco! :)

Brilliant!
Many Thanks
Jamie & Becky

Disappointed

Initially this looks like a very appealing hotel, and someone obviously spent a lot of money on decorating and furnishing this hotel at some point however I was disappointed with our stay and they obviously don't spend much on maintenance or cleaners!

Good points:
Central location, close to decent restaurants shopping and attractions
Comfortable bed
Clean bedding and bathroom
Kettle, tea and cafetiere
Corner bath with jacuzzi function

Bad points:
Noise from bar/nightclub on basement floor until 2am, couldn't sleep!
Light in hall area didn't work
Blind broken on window
Cracks on the walls, random bits of wallpaper painted over
Chunks of dust on bedside light, grubby switches, not cleaned to hotel standard
No breakfast facility although they provided porridge pots you add hot water to
Jacuzzi function on bath was VERY loud and didn't work very well
Two chairs in our room were broken so you couldn't actually sit on them
I could go on...
