Happy to Return to Thornewood

We stayed at this inn last summer and wanted to try it again to make sure it was as good as we experienced the first time. Since we had a dinner there last year, we invited a local friend to meet us for dinner this year. It was fabulous! Everything was prepared perfectly and the food was very tasty with just the right spices added. Our guest was so impressed that he said he would tell all his neighbors in the surrounding villages.

The best bed-and-breakfast experience on the planet!

I really loved this Bead and Breakfast. The owners were absolutely lovely people and were extremely hospitable. The building was absolutely spectacular and extremely clean. It was kept at a warm 72°F. The furniture was antique and kept in pristine condition. The breakfast we had was delicious. This is a lodging and living experience that you owe to yourself and to your family when you come to Great Barrington for either skiing, or seeing your kids at Bard at Simons Rock College. I give this bed-and-breakfast the highest recommendation possible! You better believe I will be coming back there.

Lovely Ski Weekend

We are just home after having a lovely stay at the Thornewood Inn in Great Barrington, MA. Terry, the owner, greated us at the door Friday night upon our arrive and we were whisked into the dining room had delicious homemade meals, of whole trout and chicken in an amazing beurre bland sauce. The homemade hot brownie sundae with fresh whipped cream was out of this world! Our Garden Suite room was perfect for our family of 3. The room was spacious and very clean with a large bathroom and very comfortable beds. We had breakfast cooked to order both Saturday and Sunday morning. We will definitely return to this charming Inn the next time we ski at Butternet! Thanks Terry and staff for a great weekend!

Great company and conversation

My boyfriend and I booked a two night stay with Thornewood Inn with the Ski & Stay deal linked with Ski Butternut. We could have not asked for a better experience. We arrived a little late but David and Terry were very understanding and welcoming. After settling in we went down to the bar and enjoyed some great wine and beer as well as meaningful and engaging conversation with David and Terry. The next day we enjoyed a full breakfast of our choice and hit the slopes with a full stomach. Terry ensured the we would easily get our ski passes when we arrived at the mountain which we did! After a chilly day on the mountain we enjoyed returning to a warm shower and comfy bed. Would definitely recommend staying at the Inn while in the Berkshires!! Thank you for a great experience.

anniversary celebration springfield ma.

Went with another couple who we share an anniversary with. Loved everthing about the Thornewood . Ate in the resurant the first night every thing was great from the food and wine and music . The breakfast was very good and each day was diffrent which you do not often get at an inn or b&b. Terry and Dave our host do everything from check you in cook and even play the music during dinner. We were made to feel very welome. We would go back in a minute.
