Lovely place, well worth the price.

This is the best place in Aluthgama! Well situated, close to railway and bus station. Next to the Monday market, 10 minutes walk to Bentota Beach. Lying in a bustling commercial street, but you hear no street noise in the rooms. Only the music from the restaurant, which is open from 08 am to 10 pm.
Rooms are clean and spacious, with balconies with lovely wievs to the river. All with fans and a/c, which is included in the price. Some rooms have a safety box, all have some sort of small kitchen, with toaster, coffee machine and a small fridge. Some rooms also have cooking plates. Rooms on upper floor are a bit smaller, but have a better wiev.
In the ground floor there is a modern supermarket and a very nice and reasonably priced coffee shop and restaurant with both Sri Lankan and international kitchen.
The owner and staff are very nice and friendly and always ready to help.
All in all our best recommendations.

Stayed here for two weeks and enjoyed the river view from apartment balcony the room was very clean and spacious the room was cleaned when asked and supermarket was below apartments and also pier 88 restaurant were we enjoyed several meals .would stay here again and would recommend for good location and modern feel apartment

Good value but not much around

This area of Bentota is not necessarily a nice area, as in there is not much around. There are some small shops nearby and it is located above a mini mart store. There aren't a lot of restaurants around. The layout of the apartment is a bit interesting. One enters through the kitchenette then the bathroom is on the left then there is a door to the main sleeping and living area. There is therefore no air conditioning in the bathroom and kitchenette area. One of our bathrooms also had a really bad sewer smell. We paid extra for an extra cot but we found it was so soft that our son could not sleep on it. He slept on the couch instead so don't waste your money on an extra cot if your child is small enough to sleep on the sofa they have. The bedskirts and bedding have some staining and have some holes, probably due to the fact that smoking is allowed. There are no accommodations for drivers. The internet connection was very, very slow. There is a nice balcony overlooking the river but it connects with all the other apartments so there is not much privacy.

Apartments are in a good location near the Monday fruit market, supermarket and coffee shop below. Also Pier 88 restaurant which is nice and has friendly staff. Apartments are clean and spacious with a good view over the river. Bathrooms are ok for SL but could be so much better if they're painted and blocked off from external noise (extract fan instead of mesh window?). Lock to main door was tricky which could make you nervous out of office hours. Just little fixes needed to give 5 stars.

Nice rooms and great view

We stayed there for three nights and the place was awesome. The rooms are really big and nice. The owner Fernando was also really nice and honestly. I also arranged the airport pick up for us which worked also well. There is also a restaurant which serves nice curries and other stuff.
