Wrong choice

We chose this hotel for a short summer vacation. The photos which I saw on the site can not show what really it is inside of hotel. No way a hotel of 4*. The location is pleasant, with a lot of green around, but the road from the main street of Gura Humorului until the property is like hell, good for off road cars. Inside the property the parking is large, so no problems to park the car. The building looks nice outside and inside in the main hall is ok. Inside room the furniture was probably reconditioned and it was very sticky. Nothing special inside, it looks more for 3 stars hotel. In bathroom it was worse, the battery looked horrible probably burned from the substance they try to clean. No toothbrush holder, neither for soap and they said it is a 4 stars hotel. Inside the shower cabin it was black mold. The service in restaurant was very slow and worse, nothing to want to eat in all days how much we stayed there. The good part was that food was ok. I think probably they change the staff, and have no idea how to manage things. When we ate in restaurant even did not was crowded. Maybe if they will try more to improve the service, and do more for inside the rooms and outside around the property, maybe the things will be better for travelers. We spent a lot of money for accommodation and for sure it not was for a 4 star hotel. We will not come back here.

Beatiful view

Very well placed on a hill, quiet area with nice views over the calm mountains around. A quite big hotel, suitable if you like to have enough privacy, nice restaurant with terrace with very good food. Breakfast need small improvements, rooms are very warm in winter. Overall a nice base for the trips around.

Restaurant was ok

We have been there to eat. Just in the restaurant. We had soup (it was great) and eggplant salad that was... not so good. Anyway, the food is acceptable yet the prices are a little too hi. The view is not so great, the surroundings are not breathtaking. Just rustic I guess. Service was OK.

No way a 4* hotel

This is in no way a 4 star hotel. Even 3 stars would be stretching it a bit. The rooms are ok, but it's mostly cheap and old furniture. The bed sheets and pillow sheets were probably clean, but had weird yellow stains on them, same goes for the towels. They could do a way better job at fixing some things there, like showers, windows, carpets and overall better maintenance.

When it comes to the restaurant, must say that the cutlery we got was dirty (sticky) and the food was actually probably the worst food we had in a hotel so far. I don't even know how they can mess up even some basic dishes, maybe low quality ingredients?

Terrible experience

He had a reservation for 9 people in the hotel. When we arrived, during the check in we also made a table reservation for dinner (8 PM). It also happened to be the name day of 3 of our friends that day so we were planning on celebrating it there. We took the luggage in the rooms and we decided to take a walk around. I can not state my opinion regarding the rooms as this was one of the two small interactions with it. You'll understand why in a second.
We came back straight to the restaurant in time for dinner. We were seated at a big table and we noticed that there was only one more table occupied and in a separate salon a full coach of tourists were having dinner. From the beginning that worried us as there were only 2 waiters (both very young & obviously inexperienced). After waiting for 15 minutes one of them managed to bring us some menus. Drinks came after over half of hour of waiting... We ordered some soups that failed to be delivered even after ONE HOUR of waiting!!! We called the waiter 2 times and asked what is happening with the soups and when they finally came they were hotter that the lava of an erupting volcano. Hungry as we were, we all managed to get our tongues burned from the first sip. Is there any need to mention how much longer we had to wait for the second course?! After many complaints we called the manager which was extremely arrogant and didn't care at all about our discomfort. At one point he even made one of the waiters (a very young boy, obviously a beginner in this) come to our table and say that this is entirely his fault. Seeing that we are pretty pissed off he TRIED TO BRIBE us with a bottle of some sort of alcohol brought in a gift bag!!! We felt deeply insulted and got up an left the dinner and of course got our luggage and moved from the hotel.
PS: it was already past midnight so imagine trying to accommodate a group of 9 people !!!
