Top, Top Hotel

This is possibly the first hotel I have ever wanted to return to as I was only here for a week. All the staff, without exception were helpful, friendly and efficient. Great location, great pool area and fabulous rooms with kitchenette and separate bedroom and bathroom, kept scrupulously clean. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet stay, set back from the main road but within easy reach of all facilities.

Great value for the price. Location is lovely - in a very peaceful area with scenic view at the sea, but not too far from city life. Attitude of the owners and the staff was excellent! Food was also good and not even at breakfast, but at their restaurant as well.

Took a bit of finding at midnight on our arrival, but we got there. Bit of a lengthy check in but I don't think they where expecting us at that time, however we where nicely surprised to have a 2 bedroom suite for two nights overlooking the pool and the sea. Over all very friendly very clean and breakfast much more than we expected. For the price you couldn't go wrong, probably the best place we have ever stayed in Crete ( our 5th visit)

This is a very nice hotel, clean rooms, lovely pool area with excellent views of Stalos bay, but at a price. The hotel is located quite high on a hillside, and although there is a shortcut to the beach via a dirt track which should not be attempted at night and even during the day is not easy. All of the local amenities are reached by a fairly steep road which winds it's way up the hill, this is not a pleasant walk after a meal or shopping and is at least 10 to 15 minutes duration. That aside we had a very pleasant stay, the rooms were cleaned on a regular basis and the breakfast offered excellent choice.

We stayed for 10 nights mid June and it is highly recommended. We found it to be excellent value - it was the cheapest package with Teletext yet it was such good value. The air conditioning is included for free, which is gold dust on Crete. The breakfast is included too, and the selection on offer was changed almost daily. The only extra you pay for is the safe - €10 for a week and €17 for 2 weeks.
There is a small TV in the room, I don't think there were any UK/English channels on offer. There is a small ensuite bathroom with a shower over the bath. There is a comfy double bed, linen changed often and towels provided. There is a small kitchenette and the cleaner even kindly washed some of our dishes! Remember to bring dish soap if you plan on self catering at all.
There is a balcony with a garden view. The pool and outdoor bar offers gorgeous views of the sea and the hills. These views, and the peaceful atmosphere, are because the hotel is up a hill. There is a dirt path down to the beach or a longer walk round. It is not a negative, it is just something to be aware of when planning.
The restaurants in the area I'd recommend are actually either side of the hotel - Maria's and Marco's - which is convenient. A little further up away from the strip is Amythestos again highly recommended. There are plenty of the usual beach strip amenities walking distance from the hotel - shops, bars, restaurants.
Overall, highly recommended.
