We stayed 3 nights in rooms 316 & 318 which were adjoining and had a fabulous view over the Roman Forum and Palentine Hill. Our rooms were very comfortable and had everything we needed for a really enjoyable stay in Rome. We were on the front of the hotel but were not disturbed by traffic noise at all, the double glazing does it's job. this hotel is literally a few steps away from memorials, shops and restaurants. The staff here on reception and in the breakfast room are very helpful and cant do enough for you. The breakfast was lovely, there is lots on offer to set you up for the day ahead, the fresh bread rolls and croissants were first class! We would definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to return to Rome.

Hotel Traiano is an excellent hotel with a fantastic location in order to explore Rome. I travelled with my husband & 2 friends in September & we stayed here for 5 nights.
The rooms were spacious, clean & comfortable. The included breakfast, buffet, was good for setting you up for the day for exploring.
All of the staff were friendly & helpful and spoke excellent English.
The location of the hotel could not be better with main sights within easy walking distance. Having read some other reviews I feel some are somewhat unfair as for central Rome this is a great hotel & reasonable on price.
I would definitely stay here again when visiting Rome.

This is a good quality hotel, although 4 stars seems a little high in comparison to other 4 star hotels we have stayed in. The room we had was a little tired - decoration a bit variable, furniture a bit scuffed and ageing - but it was clean and comfortable. The general level of decoration in the public areas was a little better, but it still rather had a tired feeling to it. But, the situation could hardly be better - close to everything - and that counts for a lot, and the service was also pleasant and courteous. However, perhaps the most negative quality was the breakfast - it was not really up to standard. The coffee was dreadful, the juice appalling, and the choice limited. That aside we would recommend staying here, and you can always get better coffee nearby!

Hotel had reception and bar opened 24/7 which was great for our late arrival. Staff very friendly and helpful. 10 minute walk to Colossium and Trevi Fountain.They arranged car/driver to airport for good rate. Breakfast was basic. We booked a double room but got a triple which was a good size and had a lovely renovated bathroom.

This hotel is 4 star rated but too basic to qualify for it. The hotel is very nice and perfectly clean but missing some basic amenities, such as a proper shower, iron, tea/coffee facilities. Staff appear friendly and helpful but actually do nothing to help if you complain.
The best thing about this hotel is its excellent location, walking distance to all the main attractions.
Another (huge) plus point is the free wifi, which did not have any connectivity problems at all during our stay.
We did not like the breakfast or service there
