Great little getaway
Julie Ron 09/10/2017 04:19Awesome little place located 10 minutes out of Punta Gorda. Perfect location if you habe a vehicle and want to explore Toledo. Conveniently located just off the highway with easy access to the coast, Mayan sites, rivers, cultural experiences and adventure.
We stayed in the Lodge rooms which were very comfy and had everything we needed. The location is quiet and great for bird watching. There's a creek running through the property as well.
The hosts, Sheila and her partner were very accommodating and took care of our every need. I would definitely recommend staying there.
Great for bird watchers
AdrenalineAKon 28/08/2017 03:15This was a very nice lodge and the owner, Sheila, was very helpful in making our stay there very pleasant. Originally I booked a casita, but Sheila messaged me and said she would upgrade us to a room in the lodge - the difference: fan versus AC. And it was so hot during the time we were there, I was so glad for the free upgrade. The room was excellent and clean. Breakfast was done well. Sheila helped us organize some really interesting excursions (Creole fire hearth cooking and a visit to a local chocolate farmer and producer). Sheila knows a lot about birding and their property, available to walk about, has many different species of birds to observe and listen to. Too bad the natural pool in the river flowing through the property was not maintained. It would have been nice to take a plunge as the days were extremely HOT this year in May.

Britta Von 06/08/2017 00:06We stayed at Chaab'il B'e for four nights of our honeymoon, and absolutely loved our stay! From the moment I booked the room, Sheila reached out to me to help me plan our trip and recommend activities in the area. She booked some activities for us, and recommended full-day itineraries based on what we already had planned.
Once we arrived, Sheila's helpful trip-planning didn't stop. She was such a fantastic host! And cooked us delicious breakfast every day (accommodating our schedule) and chatted with us while we ate. We loved having Sheila and Rusty as hosts.
The property is absolutely gorgeous, and the rooms (we stayed in the air conditioned lodge) are so fantastic for the price! It was by far the best balance we've seen between the bare-bones affordable accommodations and the luxury eco-resorts in Belize, and at a great price!
The wifi only works well in the main lodge, but that was fine by us!
Very nice lodge
CedTheTravelleron 30/07/2017 04:54The very nice owner couple informed us what to do in the area, served excellent breakfeast and recommended great restaurants in PG. We stayed i a casita which is just big enough if you are on the road alot. We also saw a Tucan and the owners knew a lot about the animals and especially the birds around the lodge.
Jungle-feeling!
Hanne Bon 12/07/2017 04:19We were going to stay at the lodge for 5 days, but because there was a flood, there was no power. The owners, Sheila and Rusty, then bought us a night at a great hotel in town and then picked us up the next day when the flood was gone. They recommended a lot of activities, and then helped us find out everything we needed and drove us where we were going.
The lodge was beautiful, a lot of wildlife! Unfortunately we didn't see or hear any of the howler-monkeys, but we saw a lot of cool birds! We paid to stay at the cheapest room, but because of the flood, there could be snakes coming in, so they gave us a free upgrade so we would feel safe!
Would definitely recommend to everybody who would like to experience the Belizean rainforest/jungle!
