Sooo grosss

The only reason it has two stars is because he gave me a full refund. As soon as I walked in the room there were roaches everywhere, on the bed, the floor, just everywhere. He offered another room but I know from past experiences that if one room is infested all of them are. We ended up having to find another hotel at 1 in the morning, if I were you I would pick a different place!

Enjoyed our stay and the staff was great

We have stayed here now for over 4 yrs and although it is not a Marriott or even a Holiday Inn, but for the price Shawn charges during big events along with just the ordinary day of the week stay you can beat it. The management and staff are so accommodating and friendly we will always stay here while in the area. Our room was clean and presentable although a little outdated but comfortable. Remember if you want the free breakfast and all the bells and whistles you wont get it here but then again go pay over $100-$150 a night versus what the charge is here. We eat and party and enjoy our stay on the money we save by staying here at the Travelers Inn. We have always had a comfortable sleep also. Good water pressure and shower along with Micro oven and fridge. What more do you want for 50 dollars a night. Thanks Shawn and your family for everything. Chas and Torie

Comfy, Clean and Convenient

We thought the look and location of this property fit perfectly into our road trip...just for sleep and no frills. We're from Orlando and wanted to experience Gainesville's culture as much as possible on a sensible budget. This hotel is not the Ritz BUT we were very impressed with the cleanliness..it is top notch! For $50/night we expected the beds to be a pretty uncomfortable but they were wonderful and our home mattresses are some of the best so we KNOW mattresses. It appeared family run and the person at the desk was very pleasant. We would stay there again and will recommend it to our friends heading to Gainesville.

Perfect for the night

We went to Gainesville for a Gators Game. The motel was clean and the bed was comfy!! We arrived early and even know our room was not ready, we were able to check in and get our key for later. It made it very convenient for when we arrived that evening! The staff made us fresh coffee in the morning and were very friendly. I would definitely stay again!

Staff great, rooms pretty bad.

We visited my stepson for his birthday (he's in college in Gainesville) and spent 2 nights. The staff were all very pleasant. Rooms were close to awful though. The first room we were in the air conditioner had been leaking onto the carpet, obviously for quite some time judging by the smell of mold/mildew. They did change our room no problem. The next room the towels were ancient and extremely stained, the shower curtain and the bath mat were very, very stained. They also overkilled the air freshener before we got in there (assuming to cover any possible odors - which there weren't any once that wore off). The pillows are awful. The TV's are quite old and blurry. No alarm clock, no coffee pot, only 1 coat hanger, bath sink cracked. The gas station next door had very good coffee and extremely friendly staff. Overall, I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel to stay and I would advise the very nice employees to find employment elsewhere as they were all very nice.
