What People are saying

The hair in the bathroom and the suspicious white stains on the sheets

Menoriapuon 27/10/2015 22:36

It is extremely far from the city center. They advertised themselves on another site as "close to Ciampino Airport", which is not true, and you have to go a mile for a bus that goes there.
The window of our room was bad and we weren't able to close it. We told the staff about it, she did not manage to close it either, and she just said "well, it can't be closed", no apologies, no nothing. We had to sleep with a room full of mosquitos.
The ensuite bathroom was full of hair and obviously had not been cleaned.
The sheets had suspicious white stains on them.
Also, this looks like nitpicking after all the terrible stuff I listed here, but the staff did not inform us at all about the metro being closed after 9PM, which, I think would have been expectable.
And also, they promise free breakfast on the website. Like, what? We stayed two night there and did not even get some dried toastbread or whatever.

To summarize my thoughts: yes, I know it's cheap. But it's stil not worth it.

Worst experience ever!!! Do NOT book!

I've travelled around the world and do not consider myself a picky guest. So when looking for one night to stay in Rome near the airport we chose Bijou Rome. I didn't mind the location, the fact that we didn't see a single employee to help even the dirty walls and things like that but when we settled in and I stayed in the room with two children we found out the AC was not working. I called the number they said they will send someone in to check. That was a straight out lie. So we've been cooking in a room for 5 hours ( it's been super hot outside as well) until my husband came back to take us to a different hotel. Wish I never made the mistake of choosing this place.

Also called "Travelino" - WORST HOTEL I'VE EVER STAYED

anotherreviewer26on 20/05/2015 10:15

Avoid at ALL costs - I travel extensively, and it's one of the worst places I've ever stayed. BED BUGS, no Reception, no check-in. This is NOT a hotel; it's a set of rooms rented in a converted apartment. It's in an apartment block, with no manned Reception in the evenings.

It's very difficult to find (down a suburban one-way street) - there is 1 tiny sign on the building which was obscured because the residents were standing outside of it. There is no reception desk, or person - they leave all the guests' keys out on a side table and you just pick one and try and find your room. We were unable to find our room for 20mins (it was allocated wrongly) and there was no one there to help us. Eventually, once we got the room, the noise was unbelievable - you're basically sleeping in an apartment with other people and you hear EVERYTHING.

The room was filthy, only 1 electrical socket worked - so you couldn't use the bedside lamps. The bathroom was mouldy, it stank - there were mosquitos everywhere. The beds are camp beds - and they have bed bugs. We stayed in room 103 and I came home bitten by bed bugs. My partner and I got no sleep.

All in all, one of the most stressful, worst experiences in Italy. It's a shame that they think they can get away with this. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE, even if you are tempted by the price. It's REALLY not worth it. I'm now having to spend money on clearing the bed bugs out of my belongings.

worst hotel ever Don t go (read the bad revies all trouth)
