this by far is the best and friendliest Travelodge I have ever stayed in and we,ve stayed in a few its only 15 mins walk from the old town its an old converted house and its lovely. the staff are excellent always cheerful and I mean all of them. I really enjoyed my stay there and im already planning going back soon loved it

Leafy lane suburb close to great little cafes and restaurants

This Travelodge may be a bit of a walk from Princess Street etc. (Not too far) But it has its own little getaway inside the city, Stockbridge. Great little cafes and really good restaurants. So if you want a pleasant, clean room in a quiet area of the city with easy access to a nice cup of coffee or a good meal, look no further.

cheap and cheerful

only problem was the door cards did not always work. perhaps advise not to keep near other electronic devise cards.. Learmonth is a beautiful building with the character retained. The staff were always on hand and helpful if needed. The rooms were clean and tidy. It is good value for money.

Quiet but Close

The hotel was very clean , my room was a very good size with a large bathroom . The bed was very comfy . There was a hanging space for about 6 hangers but no drawers for clothes . There was a desk though.

The staff were lovely.

There was a restaurant in the basement where I had breakfast. I chose the Continental , which was ok , cereal , toast, croissants etc
It was kept very clean.

I didn't have dinner there although the menu looked ok "pub grub" type , although the room is ok for breakfast it was not the dirt of place I would like to dine in . The tables and chairs were cafe style.

The Bar alongside was tiny with few comfortable places to sit .

It is in a lovely quiet area of Edinburgh and yet only a little way from Princes Street . I walked into Edinburgh s few times but there are frequent buses from the front of the hotel to the centre of Edinburgh .

One thing I did finds a bit strange was that there was a ramp outside the main door fir wheelchair access (I assume ) but there were two steps up to the front of the building where the ramp was ! Maybe I just missed another ramp ??

There is also a lift to the rooms and down to the restaurant .

Good stay

Great location only 15 minute walk from city centre. Ample parking although you have to pay for this which is about £2.40 am hour. Hotel can do with a lick of paint but it's travellodge we did not spend time in hotel apart from sleeping. Freeview channels very good place to stay
