Not what we were promised.

What can I say about the Travelodge. Oh, many things. First, we booked a room that could sleep 5 people and requested a rollaway bed. I called two weeks ahead to confirm they had us down for a rollaway bed. When we got there they did not have one and said it was a first come, first served basis unless you paid in advance. Was never told that. The first night my son slept in the car. The next morning we went down and demanded a rollaway if one became available. The manager was rude but promised us one. We eventually got it but it was like pulling teeth and we had to go back after breakfast to make sure they were working on it.
There was no cord from the phone handset to the main body. We had elderly handicapped people with us so we demanded they fix that and it took several hours. The lady on at night finally got one.
The toilet clogged our first night and if you didn’t put the hot water on full blast it made a noise like an animal in pain.
One vending machine worked, one stole $2.25 that I never got back even after complaining. “Not our machines,” they said.
The “free Wi-Fi” did not work in our room. Our phones could see them but never could connect so we had to use data while we were there.
The beds were OK to sleep in but not exceptionally comfortable. At least the AC worked.
The breakfast looked cheesy and all carbs so we decided to eat out. We were close to the last remaining Howard Johnson’s restaurant so that was kind of cool.
The hotel is up on a hill and the driveways are not kept up very well. A little hard getting onto the road due to the angles but the traffic was light.
We survived the stay but we will not go back there again.

POOR TRAVELODGE. DIRTY, OLD, SMELLY. Changed from rm 219 to 234 and second room worse than first. Told Manager that HE should spend a night in either room then he will know what I know. Sink didn't drain, toilet rocked like a see-saw, Air conditioner was moldy and could not use it, windows were painted shut, electric wiring exposed, wall outlet by desk didn't work, sheets were too small and very old cheap! NEVER AGAIN!

I felt like I was back in the 60s

Dark paneled room, musty smell, poor lighting...We chose this motel because it was pet friendly. It had bad reviews. We expected it to be bad but not this bad. The bed was actually quite comfortable, and we slept well.

Should be a zero!!

Absolutely horrible!! Dirty, smelly, outdated rooms. Rude staff!! Hot breakfast was make your own nasty waffles and toast. Pool was falling apart, and never cleaned! We will NEVER stay again!! DO NOT waste your money!

This hotel was just okay. The carpet in my room was not clean under the bed when I checked in, the TV remote was missing and the phone had been pulled out of the wall. They did manage to find another remote, but were unable to fix the phone. I was tired after a long drive and told them to just leave it as the guy tried for 1/2 an hour with no success. I didn't bother to complain about the carpet. I didn't check out the breakfast as my friends advised they only had some bagels and no longer offer a hot selection. We got a group rate, which I think was decent by Lake George standards. Not great overall, but did the job.
