Good basic hotel
LamplighterYorkon 21/08/2017 22:05We needed a room close to Media City as we had tickets for some BBC programmes being filmed, starting early morning and this fitted the bill. It was clean, comfortable, quiet and the staff were friendly and helpful.
A drawback is that there is no dedicated parking. There is car park adjacent and Travelodge stamp your parking ticket to get reduced rates but be aware that I found it rampant with youngish kids riding bikes around indiscriminately and openly trying car door handles and boot lids. I did notify the police but this took over 25 minutes just to get to talk to someone. Happily my car was ok next morning. Be doubly sure to lock your vehicle here. Travelodge is not responsible for the car park.
Value for money & friendly staff
Agnes Non 19/08/2017 10:40I stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks. Izzy the staff member who checked me in put me up in the business floor at no extra cost which was nice. The hotel is adjacent to the road but you hardly hear any noise if the window is shut.
The rooms are clean and simple with a very big comfortable bed. The hotel is modern and well maintained. Cleanliness is relatively good.
WiFi is £3 per day but £12 for a week so it's cheaper to pay for a longer duration.
I think for the price it's worth every penny. Suitable if you want a basic functional room for a cheap price.
Very friendly staff - especially Izzy!
EmmaandLizon 17/08/2017 20:49We stay here for our monthly night out in the city centre. Its always cheaper than the city centre hotels, parking is cheaper (£7 for a one night stay for secure parking right in front of the hotel once they validate your ticket) and an Uber is only about £6 into the city centre. Its always clean and pleasant and I can honestly say the staff are the friendliest and most pleasant people I've come across. I've stayed in 5* hotels where the staff aren't nearly as nice as the staff here. Izzy is always on check-out in the morning at the weekends and is absolutely lovely. Thanks for making hungover mornings a little more bearable. Emma and Liz
Salford Travelodge
heathermac29on 16/08/2017 19:47Stayed at the weekend. Very friendly reception staff, and Maisie , as mentioned before, was very helpful, polite and helpful.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. I had no problems and was happy with the reasonable price I paid.
The hotel is close to the metro station, the Lowry centre is within easy walking distance, as is Old Trafford and the War Museum. There is a Tesco store almost next door.
However, the hotel is located on a very busy road, so there is some road noise, which might disturb some people.
Lovely comfortable stay
