Ear Plugs Essential
DalesGuyon 13/06/2017 08:14Probably the noisiest hotel room I have ever stayed in, if you want a good nights sleep then look elsewhere.
The walls between rooms are stud walls meaning as soon as a TV goes on next door you can hear it, not clearly, but enough to keep you awake.
Probably the worst thing for noise is the use of floor boards throughout rather than solid floors. As the person in the room above walked around it sounded like the T-Rex scene from jurassic park!
The same for the corridor outside the room, the stairs, the list goes on! If people are on the move, don't expect to sleep.
The room was clean enough and whilst basic was of a good size and equipped as you would expect.
Great Stay
Aimee Ron 07/06/2017 17:54Every year me and my friends stay a night in this travelodge after Download Festival at the start of June, and every year the staff are friendly and helpful (we're usually muddy and unclean from the 5 day festival, but they are always welcoming and kind), and the rooms are spacious and comfortable.
Lovely Reception Staff
melh91on 30/05/2017 20:54Encountered a problem on the way down to a sporting event. Stopped at this Travelodge and a very kind and helpful receptionist (named Pritti) helped to solve it. Excellent customer service. Thanks again!!
Overnight stay
singletonbernardon 27/05/2017 11:45Hotel clean & comfortable and in excellent place for overnight stay prior to very early flight from East Midlands Airport. No problem checking out at 5am - just drop key in box on reception counter and go.Easy 10 minute drive to airport car parks.
Disappointed
baywolf7on 26/05/2017 09:49Rooms small and too hot plus unable to cool
Duvet still winter unit and heavy
Room could do with revamp and modernised
The location is great and easy access to the airport but road works near the hotel did delay us
