What People are saying

Great choice!

Laura Jon 24/10/2015 20:01

I was originally struggling to find a hotel in Rome for our stay as it was rather short notice for when we were going. Looked and looked for a few days couldn't really find anything that was to my taste which has a private bathroom. About to give up and then came across Tre R.
Price was very reasonable for the room. We stayed for 4 nights.
Andrea the owner was very good to communicate with over email informing us which station would be best to go to as I thought it would be Termini but it isn't its closer to Ostiense, and also picked us up from the Station which was a plus but can also get a bus which is number 30 or 160 which stops at Navigatori about a 4 min walk away from the B&B.
The room was spacious and clean, bathroom had toiletries to use and plenty of towels and also housekeeping comes around midday to refresh towels and tidy.
Arrived at the B&B and given maps and information about transport shopping, and sightseeing.
Also as we arrived pretty early we had a choice of rooms all had a different colour scheme but all same layout, ours was number 1 which had a private balcony/terrace area which was lovely.
Access to the B&B was 24 hours so felt comfortable coming in and out whenever we needed to. Shop located just outside for anything little you need. Access to a kitchen which stocked cereals, teas, coffees, and juices.
Only thing that I didn't enjoy was noise of people coming in and out as it has heavy doors and very echo-ey but I am a heavy sleeper so I didn't get disturbed during the night.
Buses 30+160 took us straight to Piazza Venezia which was the main strip for shopping and sightseeing.
We checked out around 3am for our flight to Amsterdam and Andrea was kind enough to book us a out of city taxi which only cost us 45euros as there aren't any trains or buses to the airport at that time.

Would highly recommend this B&B if you don't want to pay city prices and don't mind a 10 min ride to the centre!

very pleased

The rooms are quite big and very comfortable. We had acces to a well stocked kitchen. We could make coffee and tea and drink it on the terrace. We bought groceries from across the street. We had breakfast at a nearby cafe (croissant and coffee). They also make excellent sandwiches. The rooms were cleaned everyday. The wifi was excellent. The neighbourhood was very nice. We arrived from termini station with the metro at the garbatella station and the owner was kind enough to drive us to the b&b. We called him and he arrived in 15 min. From garbatella station to the b&b you have to take a bus. The bus stops right in front of the b&b. The owner also gave us good recommendations for sightseeing and places to eat.

Another great find.

we visited Rome for a week in October, having found this lovely guest house via previous positive reviews.Andrea and Luciano were very friendly and helpful at all times, making our stay a pleasure. They gave us excellent advice about local restaurants and sightseeing
. Breakfast was provided at a local cafe just across the road. This was life enhancing coffee and a cornetti .There is also a breakfast room as mentioned by previous reviewers which has coffee, cereals, biscuits and cakes available free of charge.
our room was clean, comfortable and quiet.
as mentioned by others the bus stops right outside the guest house and takes 15 minutes to central Rome.
we have no hesitation in recommending this as a great base for your visit .

a great find

What a fab little place to stay just a few mins away from central Rome by the number 716 bus or if the mood takes you, you can easily walk in. Probably around and hour but easy walking.
Don't let the outside of the building put you off. The area might look a little run down but it really isn't once inside.

We were welcomed by the owners Father who was very friendly, spoke good English and gave us plenty of local info on buses, and things to do etc.

The room was airy, modern, quite spacious and most importantly in my eyes, clean.
There was a small kitchen area for making drinks if you wanted, and indoor and outdoor seating.

They have an agreement with the bar around the corner where we breakfasted.
You will have a daily voucher for breakfast which was a drink and scrumptious coisannts or cornetti in Itallian.

Most certainly a great place to stay if you don't want to pay central Rome prices.

Excellent! Highly Recommended!

Very nice, clean and well taken care of place with very friendly and helpful staff. I've stayed here over the Easter weekend together with my fiancée and had a very good experience. Andrea, the guy that takes care of the place gave us some excellent recommendations for everything from what to do and places to see, to where to eat and to go out. We’ve tried a few of his recommendations and were very pleased indeed. Sadly, we didn’t have enough time to try all the places he told us about but I’m sure we would have been equally pleased. We would happily recommend the Tre R at any time to any of our friends.

Also, while we had absolutely nothing to complain about, I just thought it would be worth noting one or two things that people should consider before booking so they don’t complain afterwards. One thing is that this place is not bang on in the centre of Rome, but it’s only a 15-20 minute bus ride to Piazza Venezia, which is like the Trafalgar Square of Rome, right next to the Roman Forum and all the rest. The other thing is that this is not a hotel but more like a B&B, which some people will like while others may not. And finally, you need to keep in mind that Italians quite often have only a croissant and a cappuccino for breakfast and that is absolutely normal for them. So that’s exactly the breakfast you’ll get, so if you’re a fan of the full English breakfast, with egg and bacon, sausage and all that, then you may be disappointed.
