Not a good stay. Staff had total disregard to our concerns about the health of a man in their parking lot.
glhamiltonon 19/08/2017 16:10We stayed at the TREASURE COVE HOTEL PRINCE GEORGE on August 6th for one night. This is our experience with a safety concern we brought to the front desk that afternoon. We are absolutely appalled at what happened.
We checked in at 2pm. My husband noticed a man in a car sitting in the passenger seat all alone in the back parking lot...it's 33 degrees here and the man was sitting back with full sun exposure on him ....window half open but still ...we watched from our hotel window looking down.
He was still there an hour later so we went to the parking lot and walked up to car to get a better look...he was wet with sweat...we could hear him breathing but he looked so damn hot...So we went to the hotel front desk to advise them of our concerns and George suggested someone to go check on him. The young girl with long brown hair said ok. Another young lady who is African American was beside her and heard our concern too. So we went into the casino for AT LEAST 40 minutes. We Came back to the room and we see he's still out there. We think the young girl at front desk didn't remember us telling her to check until when we went past her again after that 40 minutes at the casino because We saw from our room a couple women FINALLY that went to check him and we watched as they called 911.
We watched from our top floor room as the ambulance and fire truck came.
They took him away by ambulance. I cannot believe the disregard lack of concern with your hotel staff with not checking when we asked.
Not until at least 40 mins did they check. We are very disappointed by the lack of response time from this hotel. I was shaken and upset for the rest of our stay. What a horrible horrible experience to go through.
UPDATE: MANAGEMENT CALLED THE NEXT DAY AFTER I COMPLAINED AND DENIED THAT IT TOOK SO LONG FOR THEIR RESPONSE TO THE MAN IN DISTRESS. WE KNOW FOR A FACT THAT IT TOOK SO LONG TO RESPOND BECAUSE AFTER WE GOT BACK TO OUR ROOM AFTER BEING AT THE CASINO...IT WAS THEN...THAT WE SAW TWO STAFF GO LOOK FOR THE CAR WE DESCRIBED...THEY WERE SEARCHING ALL OVER FOR THE CAR...SO HOW COULD THEY HAVE ALREADY TENDED TO HIM AS THE MANAGER SAID TO ME. ITS A COVER UP AND SO WRONG.
rooms are basic, not much going for this hotel. We had dinner that night at the restaurant and there was only one server who was also the only hostess...bartender...and waiter. Felt so bad for her. It wasnt her fault for the very slow service. How could they only have one person working the entire restaurant on a long weekend night? Dont stay here. Not worth it at all.
August Long Weekend Wedding Reception & Stay
sonya_0423on 08/08/2017 20:11Held my son's wedding reception at the Prestige Treasure Cove Hotel this past August long weekend. We booked the conference room which is adjacent to the front desk - and newly renovated. The staff at this hotel is 'top notch' and went above and beyond too many times to count or mention! There wasn't anything that I asked for they didn't jump to try to accommodate. Thank you so much for all of your help! The absolute best service I can recall receiving and I would highly recommend this hotel!
Disappointed
77none77on 26/07/2017 05:41Unfortunately our room was really dusty - not just a few days of dust, but months at least....very noticeable on lamps and headboards. Bathroom was in dire need of an upgrade, with dirty grout and base boards. Permanent stains in the toilet bowl. Our room smelled stale even after a service. No printer access due to renovations. Surely the computer and printer could have been moved to a different area. Was told to go to Staples to print documents. Bathrooms should at least have sets of 4 bath towels. Pool towels were in awful shape, old, thin and falling apart. Witnessed bedding placed on the floor while servicing a room....gross.
No Coffee with free breakfast
Bluecedarangelon 19/07/2017 17:13I came here with my brother and grandson during our long travels.
The room was $200 for a king bed, 2 adults and a toddler. The room had no rug, maybe good for someone with pets? The room looked basic, bed not the most comfortable but I still had a good sleep. It was nice and quiet in the room. The bathroom has a open window so we can hear what's going, I found that a little odd.
I took baby to the pool, it was nice for him. There is a slide that older kids can use.
We went for our free breakfast (don't tho it's free reflecting on the cost of the basic room) and it includes eggs, potatoes, sausages, and toast. Coffee Not Included 😩
I've never heard of it!!
I didn't bring my wallet because there was no reason, I thought..
the server say 'you can go back up and get you wallet if you want' 😐
I will probably stay somewhere else on the way back from Hazelton.
Basic
Goodlife89on 15/07/2017 20:13Basic room, with everything we needed. the pool was very clean and nice with the water slide. In the fitness was also everything we needed. The breakfast to go was a granola and muffin and was really good!
