Very bad experience in this resort

We spent one night in this resort as a part of our honeymoon. We arrived on Tue 24th Oct and left on Wed 25th Oct. We were really disappointed! We wanted to e-mail the hotel before our TripAdvisor este but they Never answered us. During our stay I reclamed these problems to the reception of the resort. I spoke with your PR-manager Henry who promised to fix these problems but he did not and that's why I am writing this letter.

We arrived at 5pm and were only four guests arriving at the time. We got our welcome juices but we did not feel welcome at all -the lady at the reception was more focused on her computer that on us. We got our room and it was a total disaster. It was DIRTY -we found stains everywhere, a cocroach, used cotton pads, candy wrappers and a lot of dirt inside of our room. That is not something I wasnt to find from my hotel room -even less if I have paid more than 200 € per night. We told to Henry about the dirtiness and got one hour free wifi as an excuse. He promised to send someone to re-clean the room. Well I don't know if he did or not but the room was not clean after the second cleaning. The photos attached on this e-mail have been taken AFTER the second cleaning.

The international dinner buffet was a joke -the food was even not hot and we were not served correctly. No one told us to make a reservation for dinner so we did not do it. We arrived for dinner and got a sad little table outside of the restaurant with no napkins, cutlery or glasses on it. We were never asked if we wanted to have any drinks.

The sunbeds were old and definetely not very clean. This is not a surprise as we saw how the staff took "care" about the sunbeds -see our nice view from the dinner table...

We were really happy to leave the Treasure island and when we were in the boat (from the resort to the Yasawa Flyer) nobody helped us with the luggage. In every other resort of the Yasawa there was staff from the resort helping guests with the luggage.

We did not let this resort ruin our amazing honeymoon in Fiji and the Yasawas but we would like to have your explination about this. The photos don't lie and we were really excited about this resort until we ended up in the dirtiest hotel room ever seen ( and trust me we travel a lot)

Was not impressed. Pictures all over Internet don’t match reality. Half of the island has rocks as the entrance to water and is dangerous especially with small kids
Requested room with easy access on sandy beach for my 6year old, it was a massive issue and long talk to management to achieve this for extra cost
Food was average
Island is kept in average condition not overly impressive or clean, 3* resort would be fair
Pool, constantly full hardly any free bed
Pool and beach beds are pretty dated
Sandy part of the beach is amazing but most of the people from resort comes here and can feel overcrowded
Staff is not helpful and customer service is 3* as well

Fabulous holiday

We stayed for five nights and had the best time. We had a four year old and they were so great with her. Such a lovely atmosphere. Laid back and relaxing. Friendly staff . Food was good. We chose to order from the menu rather than the buffet . Had a few different options during the day such as sandwiches you could order. Had teppenyaki one night. That was superb. On the end of the pier with the sun setting. So beautiful. I liked the simplicity. No tv in the room. The beauty of the frangipani trees. The kids catching crabs and playing outside climbing trees. Was great to see the turtles released. A beautiful white sandy beach around the whole island. Clear blue sea. Was quiet. Nice families staying . Met some lovely people. Kids club was great.
Excellent for families. Loved it.

Find another option avoid this island with young kids

Keep looking if you want quality and value. Booked here for 6 nights with the family and we wanted to change after the second nights and so glad we did. Don’t get me wrong the views are great and beach is ok. Snorkeling was nice also but that’s about it. The negatives I found are
Food is too expensive for poor quality and cold meals. Expecting so much more for the price. Stay away from the poor quality $82 pp buffet which is basically a bbq one night. The beer is expensive $20 Fiji for a corona which is very excessive. Also a lack of option. 4 choices each night for
Main

The facilities need a bit of love. In our accomodation the cold tap was hot and the hot was cold so my daughter just about burn herself. Facilities very basic for the cost.
Aircon could work much better also.

Booked the under water glass boat one morning and they could not get it running.

Make sure you wear shoes as the paths are getting very rough.

Staff are friendly but it’s like they are on holiday also. Everything is on Bula time that’s for sure.

Another amazing stay

We recently stayed on treasure for 7 nights taking friends with us for their first visit, this was our 7th time staying. We really love the relaxed atmosphere of the island the wonderful staff and being able to swim and snorkel on the reef that is so close. As returning visitors we are treated like family and it is awesome to see the staff we have gotten to know over the years with a special thanks to Henry, Serena from the restaurant who was superb, Abby our lovely house keeper and John who always stopped to talk while doing the garden and the lovely young ladies at reception. One comment would be that I know the bures are being renovated, our bathroom was in particularly bad shape but in saying that we will be back next year and our friends will be as well. One last thing coffee cups rather than tea cups in the rooms would be great. See you next year.
