Cmj87on 04/05/2017 14:11Stayed here on 1st May as myself and my boyfriend walked the fan dance route the next day, the staff were really friendly and the room Tydfil (apologies for any spelling mistake) was gorgeous, food was really nice and the garlic bread with cheese was the best I have ever tasted :-) we were that impressed we rang up whilst on our way back from walking the fan dance route to book another night in the same room, we would definitely stay there again.

AndrewJMooron 28/01/2017 01:44I would have to say that it wasn't quite what i expected. The staff were lovely, the room was not as lovely and it was very dusty in our room. The shower did not work properly and the bed was pretty uncomfortable. A bit underwhelmed.
worst hotel stay ever
Ray Hon 14/12/2016 22:50Came down to breakfast this morning with my four work colleagues,to find fresh mouse droppings and urine on our breakfast table.
We moved to another table and had to ask the waiter three times for some cutlery for our new table.
to our horror he went to the mouse droppings table and tried to give us the dirty cutlery.
we insisted that we got fresh cutlery and as a result of all this, we all ended up being 30 mins late for work.
When I got back from work tonight I complained to the manager about the mouse droppings on our table
and the poor service at breakfast
to be met with no apology at all...
we then ordered are dinner in the bar at 18:40
we didn't recieved our sweet until nearly two hours later.
Only after complaing and being told that the chef was getting ready to go home...
The manager then had the bare faced cheek to ask one of my work colleagues for the 25p he had overspent on his meal allowance.
unbelievable......
Me and another colleague refused to pay our overspend amounting to £1.40 and £3.40,as the service and attitude of the staff is the worst I have ever come across in 30 years of staying in hotels.
BEST ADVISE I CAN GIVE IS DON'T STAY HERE....

akatevanson 10/12/2016 12:25This was booked as an emergency stay due to a family funeral. Very poor customer care. Poor decor. Staff couldn't care about a customer's stay. When asked about breakfast, was told "too late"! Nothing offered. No refund on bill when departing.
Pleasant but in need of TLC
Gooner66iwon 11/11/2016 15:05We had a pleasant two night stay here and it is a decent base for the nearby Brecon Beacons.
Check in was efficient, although being out of season and quiet probably helped.
The room was tidy enough just needs a bit of updating, and a new mattress!! My god the bed was soft. One plus point was the heating, the room soon warmed up which was welcome after being out in the Hills for 5 hours.
Dinner was pretty good, and reasonably priced, as were the drinks. The breakfast was a let down, whilst it is a budget hotel there is no need to go the full mile and buy value sausages! Pretty good ones are quite cheap and at £6 for the breakfast I'm sure they could buy a pack or two.
All in all for a cheap break its not a bad place just could be better without going over the top price-wise.
