fletch531on 07/08/2017 23:49Not sure why people say this place is great????.....many delusional reviews!!!...stayed in room 405 which was basically a NIGHTMARE!!!!....this is a apartment hotel...i had a person in the room above me STOMPING around day and night,sounded like a gorilla tap dancing!!...the room is ok but very old and parts are broken and the wifi was a joke..no connection so i gave up.Shower was good but that was about it.No electric kettle,just and old fashion boil job on a hot plate with a whistle that did not even work??...very POOR EFFORT...lol...and dangerous.A cheap place to stay but better value hotels nearby...NEVER AGAIN.
Exceeded Expectations! Perfect for Couple/Family
141brianon 15/07/2017 13:07After reading the previous reviews, I had mediocre expectations of the suites. However, these were definitely exceeded. The location, staff, WIFI and rooms were great!
Location - about a 5 minute walk from Robinsons mall (which has everything you need from clothes shopping to fast food restaurants - mall closes at 9pm) which was definitely very helpful. However, the immediate area around the suites is not the best as you will encounter a lot of beggars.
Staff - Very helpful! always answered any questions we had! The complimentary breakfast had an extensive menu, and the staff were very quick to serve us. Additionally, the shuttle bus service provided is very good and on time.
Wifi - Managed to recieve strong WIFI connection in the rooms. The staff were amazing in providing multiple codes across numerous days given that we were a large group.
Room - We were upgraded at no cost as they had overbooked our selected standard 2 bed room. The room had 2 very clean and new toilets, great kitchen, lounge and television facilities and a very long balcony.
OVERALL - Would definitely stay here again and recommend!

Always the best stay

The level of service-- perfect, the rooms are always great.The swimming pool is always a welcome site when the weather is hot. we never stay anywhere else when we're in Manila.this is actually our 2nd time here this holiday. Come and try it for yourself 😊
CLEAN, WELL MANAGED
Wyndell Fon 23/06/2017 02:59Tropicana Suites is in the heart of Malate and close to Robinson Mall. The hotel itself is very nice and clean though surrounded by an area not so clean. Mr Poon Restaurant is god place to eat with the locals. The rooms were spacious and tidy and clean. Room for kids if have. They have kitchenenettes in them also with full utensils if you enjoy cooking. The swimming pool is also nice and clean. The air conditioning is not very strong so bring a fan. Staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast buffett is excellent for this level hotel. Price is reasonable for budget minded.
Family bonding
Tuapuilimon 22/06/2017 05:38Quite near to Robinson's Place for shopping and eating. Booked a two-room suite. 2 big bedrooms and a huge hall with kitchen. Breakfast provided for 4 people though quite limited to American, continental and filipino cuisine. Overall very peaceful and quiet. Also nearby is a chinese restaurant and some shops selling local food and also a laundromat. Very good value for money. Will book again next time going to Manila.
