Frances Eon 17/07/2017 01:30hotel was near coimbra center. you will need a car to get around to the touristy spots. shops and stores are nearby. We were not able to get an early check in. they put us in a room that reeked of cigarettes but was transferred right away to a non smoking one. front desk was ok. I would stay here again for a short stay.
Not a 4 star hotel
DaniNDRon 17/06/2017 20:29I've stayed here for 3 nights in March/April 2017, on a business trip.
Well, first of all, we were a group of plus 20 and we all arrived at about 14. Although they were dully informed, the rooms were not ready, we had to wait in the lobby for 1 hour - 1 hour and a half, and we all had a first conference at about 16... Needless to say, the conference was delayed... After the rooms were ready, in order to invite us to check in, as rooms were ready, they waited until all the rooms were ready and we had to que for several minutes. Needless to say they mixed our names, passports, room numbers in that rush.
I got a room at the 2nd floor. I don't smoke and I was disgusted that all the room had a cigarette smell. I got used to it in 1/2 days, but still.... I thought this was a non-smoking hotel...
Breakfast was okay. As well, on my way out, the receptionist was ok, helpfull, they found me a car in few minutes.
Would I return? I don't know. Mixed feelings.
Not a four star hotel

Old carpets. Old wood furnishings.
Tired looking.
Lobby was much nicer than rooms.
Breakfast was ok.
Not a four star hotel by any American standards.
Needs work on room improvement
A good hotel a bit out from the city centre.
Kim Bon 04/05/2017 12:13The hotel is on the outskirts of town, but if you a foreigner and driving it is very easy to get to. Most sights are in within walking distance if you are relatively healthy and quite easy to find.
The hotel has large modern and clean rooms with comfortable beds which is always a delight.
The staff are friendly and obliging and could not be more helpful. Has parking but there is also free parking just behind the hotel.
Outstanding value.
N8802DVmichaelbon 25/04/2017 16:19Great location only a 10 minute walk to the university and the historic city. Our room was very nice. Breakfast was a great positive surprise. It was excellent and we could not believe it was included in the price of our hotel stay!
