Fairly basic hotel 10 mins walk from the old town

This is very much a 3* hotel with fairly basic rooms &n facilities. We chose it because it is one of the few hotels at a sensible price which has secure (if very tight!) parking for an additional €15 a night. Parking in Salamnca generally is at a premium!
The rooms are clean & tidy & service was OK, however they have one major problem. The walls are all 'paper thin' & noise travels quickly & loudly from one room to another. We were keot awake for sevaral hours by a couple in the next room who seemed to have an inexhaustible appetite for ----ing all night by not only the moans & groans but the loose bedhead banging against our wall most of the night! Not a pleasant experience when you've travelled all day & are trying to get a decent nights sleep.

This hotel was well located but basic and smelled funny very dated and quite run down I was surprised at the level of decay.

Staff were very friendly and helpful breakfast not great but basic and ok bar shut very early

See room first; noisy lift ; poor wifi

The hotel is a 10 min walk from where you want to be, and close to a nice park. Reception staff are helpful and welcoming. The lounge area is attractive. The room we were given was a modest size, and lacked light or colour. The room bore little resemblance to the bright colourful, website photos. Make sure you look at your room first, (and note the noise the elevator makes when getting there.)
We were unhappy so went to reception to see what were the alternatives. They were very helpful, and showed us a bigger, brighter room, with a terrace ( the only one in the hotel), for an extra €10. So far, so good. However, the room was close to the noisy lift. Every time the lift moved, there was a "boom", as the motor engaged, and the the noise of the lift moving. Sleep was disturbed from 7am onwards. This is heard by many rooms. Get a room at the extreme end of the hallway.
Getting to the hotel was very difficult. The signage to the hotel is minimal. The hotel is off a very busy four lane ( two each way ), one way system. If you miss the narrow turn, you are forced back to the one way system, and it is over 1km to get you back where you were. The signage is dire(see photos). The hotel should do far, far more.
Add to this, poor, sometimes unusable, wifi.

Mini-Suite perfect for three guests

Elegant, clean, comfortable, friendly. Greeted in lobby with fresh orange water and mint water to quench a travelers thirst. We had a mini-suite with large bed in one room for two and a sofa bed in lounge area for third guest. Corner room had a desk, huge closet, safe, lots of space around bed, two windows. Bathroom was very large with large shower, no tub. Breakfast 8 euros per person was extensive. Only disappointment was over-cooked scrambled eggs but staff was nice to cook a plain omelette for one in my party. Highly recommend.

Good clean and comfortable hotel

This was a good hotel located 8 minutes walk from the main square. The room was comfortable and after a pretty sleepless night on a bunk bed on a ship, we were delighted that the bed was large and very cosy! There was no restaurant on site but lots in the town. The breakfast was self service with lots of choice. Would have liked to have had tea and coffee making facilities in the room though
