Lovely get-away for a girlfriends' reunion
CCT143on 01/07/2017 17:53Brought 3 out of state girlfriends to San Juan Island to showcase our WA island beauty. We stayed at Lopez Suite. i loved that it was super clean and the bedding fresh and comfortable. I have dust allergies, so appreciate when I don't wake up with puffy eyes. Nice open living room/ dining area space for comfortable gathering and sweet, sweet views of the town and harbor. Hosts Glen and Susan were welcoming and very helpful with information about places to explore, to eat at, etc. There are very decent bikes on the premises which guests can use free of charge. And the place is charming, with lovely gardens and outside spaces.
A lot of money for nothing.
annette bon 24/06/2017 23:54This place is the Motel 6 of B&B's. Save your money unless you are desperate for a place to stay. Definitely NOT worth the money. Poor rooms lacking too much to even write about. No attention paid to details at all. We had a balcony room which sounds nice but not so when looking down on a truck load of trash for 2 days. Breakfast was very average. So if you think that because the price is so high you are going to get quality. You are not. Save your money and frustration!!!
No Bang For Your Buck
TravelingGypsyQueenon 22/06/2017 16:00I want to love the Tucker House but there were some glaring negatives that made it just ok. It was rather pricey which I understood as it was peak-season. I stayed at the Goose In the Pond room for two nights and after pet charge was charged $638. I felt confident the price would reflect the quality which wasn't always the case. Our room was not as clean as one would hope and very dated. The wall next to the bed had splatter stains (I could only hope it was food stains). The lamp next to the TV shade is failing apart. I used one of the offered robes but when I took it off, I was covered in somebody else's hair. Not the best experience and ew! The breakfast was brought to our room by delightful Lady but is TINY! We were given one biscuit, one poached egg each and maybe a cup of fresh fruit and granola to split. All of it was delicious but I'm not on a diet when I vacation! Also, our mini fridge in our room did not have an ice maker so I called the front desk which told me there was ice in the fridge in my room. Say what? I just said there wasn't!?!?! When I told them there was no ice maker in our fridge then I was told I would have to get ice if I wanted it from the main house's fridge. Not a big deal but for that price, bringing me ice that you thought I would have in my room would have made a difference. Also, we received complimentary snacks in our room which was great and were told they would be restocked each day. They were not. HOWEVER! On the positive side, I went there for the first time for my birthday and they did have a bottle champagne and a birthday card waiting for us. The Gal that checked us in was so very friendly. My bottom line is for the price, not worth the stay even though the staff is lovely

bxg2017on 14/06/2017 03:56We stayed in Patience Corner (a guest room) only one available for time we were visiting but was clean,charming and perfect for what we needed. Glenn, Susan, and Niki were All wonderful Inn keepers! Enjoyed breakfast especially homemade yogurt, granola and COFFEE! they were able to provide plenty of suggestions for things to do on island.Also, thoroughly enjoyed treats in room every afternoon(compliments to the chef!) We were able to walk and bike most places as we didn't bring a car. Caution though need to be in halfway good shape for all of the hills ! LOL! Thanks for a wonderful anniversay🙂!

The staff is extremely kind and pleasant to talk to, teeming with recommendations and enthusiasm. We loved our cute little cottage, with delicious breakfast in the mornings and goodies waiting for us when we returned each afternoon. Thankful we could bring along our dog to this wonderful dog friendly island! You should book a trip here asap!
