The hotel was super clean and aesthetic.
15 minuets walk from the center.
It has all the amenities you could want.
We were there during Saturday and Sunday when the street parking is free. Otherwise it costs at a meter between 9-19:00.
The breakfast was amazing with a great variety of food and also hot meals.
The WiFi was also quite strong.
I really enjoyed staying there.

When I first walked in to room 405 at the Turim La Liberdade Hotel, I was very disappointed as it seemed very small. And I am here for 4 nights. But after a few hours, I realized it has a very efficient use of space. This room is a standard room and fine for one person. For two people, it would be a very tight. On way to make the room feel bigger, is to open the privacy shade between the bathroom and bedroom.
What I liked about the room:
was fairly quiet as faced the back of the hotel and other buildings until midnight when trucks come to collect the trash You can barely see the small road between the buildings, as there are lots of trees. At first glance, I thought it was a long park.
The room is super-clean
The buffet breakfast is excellent
nice spa-style bathroom, with decent counter space. The fixtures look new
excellent, and free wi-fi
good lighting, especially for reading in bed
bed linens are bright-white and very nice; bathroom towels are large, though some are a bit raggy looking.
the coffee/tea setup is very nice; but housekeeping sometimes forgets to replace items.
the piped in music. is a nice touch but be sure to ask the bellman who brings up your luggage how to turn it off. It goes on every time you insert the card key for power.
What I didn’t like about the room:
1. I found only two extra electrical outlet -- on the wall opposite the bed, and on a wall next to the bedthroom. So it is useful to have an extension cord/power strip
2. there is noise around midnight with garbage being collected on the small access road under the windows
3. there are only 5 hangers in the closet and they are the kind that cannot be removed. If you plan on using the closet,bring some cheap wire hangers that you can use and throw away
The hotels restaurant - DUK--is excellent and service is professional, yet friendly. It opens for dinner at 7:30pm; by 8:15 people were waiting in line to be seated. I ate their twice and the high quality and good service was consistent.
And a word of caution:
Do not buy your hop-on-hop-off (run by Diana Tours) voucher at the front desk. The agent calls it a “ticket” but it is really a voucher, also they will not take a credit card for it. If you try to hand it to the driver at the joining point behind the Marquis de Pombal statue, you will be the last to board, as their agents wait and exchange the vouchers for all the people who need one at once. Also they take credit cards. Go the the joining point and find the agent in a red jacket and buy your ticket right away.
Also, I noticed that the company called “The Yellow Bus” never looked crowded. Their routes are pretty much the same, but maybe they don’t work with the hotel. Had I known this beforehand, I would have taken the Yellow Bus.

The breakfast was good and worth the price. The AC was broken and we were never notified. A bottle of water from the room was the compensation. The staff was less than friendly overall. There is no on site pool. Water pressure and temperature from the shower was good. Beds were comfortable. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again. Seems like there are better hotels closer to the water. The train station is very close by.

14 of us stayed for a 50th Birthday party, hotel was good, clean, bathroom glass was different, good hot water. The mini bar wasn't cheap at 3.50 euro for a small water but was expected, no milk for tea coffee, free safe and overall would recommend.

Wonderful staff. Ready to help any time of the day. Breakfast is a grand spread. Mario in charge of the breakfast does a wonderful job in ensuring that you enjoy your breakfast. Dum is a nice restaurant but limited menu. Rooms are small but comfortable.
Hotel is extremely well located.
