Nice and comfortable hot
pedbleon 17/02/2017 10:44I really liked this hotel, very comfortable rooms and common areas, I spent most of my time on the lobby couch, and there was a nice atmosphere there.
Restaurant service is also good, the breakfast has a lot of variety, me I eat a lot of eggs, cheese and yoghurt for protéines for my skiing.
They have a room in the entrance to leave the ski equipment, this was very useful and there are shelves that keep your boots warm for the following day!
If you want to rent some skies, the hotel provided me with a 10% discount at intersport, but I recommend analysing all options, I think I still paid to much for them.
My trip ended with an accident that did not allow me to ski the final two days, so I stayed longer at this nice hotel. Staff had been very helpful and provided me with fresh ice for my injury, in fact they were all excellent.
Also very happy with the house keeping service, they come to see you in the evening to check if I need anything else .
I absolutely recommend this hotel.
Good, but extremely overheated
travelbee2oooon 04/02/2017 12:11Nice clean, convenient location, friendly staff, cozy bed. But the heating system is dated and not possible to adjust individually. It is only possible to sleep with windows open, which is not optimal for safety. Otherwise the air inside is so hot and dry that a headache is almost guaranteed. Welness area is tiny, but clean.
Cozy and close to the train station
aurelio2010on 08/01/2017 17:01Stayed there 2 days in january with my wife, Rooms are clean, fresh, and service is very good overall. Pillows are a bit soft, some people like it, we didn't.
Language can be a problem sometimes, German is definitely the preferred language (there seem to be quite a few germans guests in the hotel by looking at the car plates). Limited parking space but as it's close to the station that should not be a problem.
There are 2 restaurants in the hotel, better to reserve on high season, one very Swiss typical where they serve mostly all sort of fondues (meat, cheese) and another one with menu a-la-carte. Both a bit pricey, service was a bit slow despite the restaurant wasn't full.
On the ground floor by the reception there is a nice Lounge for relaxing and a Swiss-style wooden bar, smoker-friendly. However the smoke stink is pervasive on the ground floor, they should really do something about it.
Nice Hotel, but a very disappointed gala dinner at New Year Eve
Oliver Zon 03/01/2017 22:41We have spent 2 nights in this hotel, arrived on the 31.12.2016, so we had the New Year Eve included. So, we have ordered the New Year Eve Gala Dinner for 170.- (swiss francs) per person (Wine not included) to have a easy and calm New Year Eve, so that we can enjoy on the 1st January 2017 the ski slopes in Weissfluhjoch area. The Gala dinner (7 courses) have us very much disappointed, as either the food was either made from low quality or it was already cold or the preparation was just basic. Additionally the waiter had now idea about the wine menu too, so we had to show him the selected wine in the menu list. The wine list is small, but the range of good wines is nice. Finally we have selected a Swiss Merlot 2013 (Quattromani) for about 150.-. We were happy to have at least a good wine to the weak dinner.
My wife and I we expect when we spend for a dinner more than 500.- Swiss francs, that the food preparation and food quality is more than a regular dinner and I think it is fair to be served by a waiter which has at least a basic understanding of there own wines list. But this waiter most likely saw their own wine list the first time this evening...
Over rating of the New Year Eve gala dinner: very poor
The included breakfast is fine and at the expected quality and presentation level.
The location of the hotel is pretty good, the room is clean ( we were on the first floor, close to the elevator), but small, especially the bathroom is small. The shower itself does not meet the expected level, this is a old-fashion shower with a ugly shower curtain.

Øystein Eon 19/09/2016 22:46Very nice hotel, but dinner and breakfast were not very impressive, Breakfast was placed in 2 different rooms, so you had to get milk in one room while glasses were in the other room. One unusual thing was they payment for tap water, 3 francs for a glass. Another negative thing was that the bar was not smoke-free.
