Do I have first-hand experience here? Yes, i'm going there tonight!
Lisa Bon 06/04/2017 21:41I now have an apartment in Mindo so I no longer need overnight lodging. In the past when I stayed there, I always treasured stepping into the private courtyard and wonderng which of the one-of-a kind rooms would be mine for the night!
Some days I stop in for coffee, always wonderful, and many times I join friends there at night to enjoy the Andean music. The musicans are all very talented, but the owner/Luis is a true maestro. Tonight I'm meeting a group to enjoy the music! Wish you readers could join us!
Great Location
kathi1955on 08/11/2016 20:27Very quaint and right in the central part of Mindo . Price was great and included a large breakfast. Rooms clean and nice and would definitely stay here again. They have a nice seating /reception area where you can listen to live music and just sit and have a drink. They also have a very lovely courtyard
Lovely and quaint guesthouse in the center of Mindo

Love this place!
Crystal Lon 28/08/2016 02:16I was going to stay for only one night and extended my stay to two nights because I felt so calm with the beautiful surroundings. The cafe is a nice warm dark-den type atmosphere, the small courtyard is full of color and tropical plants and I loved sitting there. The wifi had a strong enough signal that I could call back home! The shower was hot every time I used it. The room was adorable and comfortable. I especially loved listening to the owners live music with his band, they played songs from Venezuala, Brazil, Columbia, it was really fun for me to see their show. It goes from 8pm-10pm at night, then all is quiet and I slept very well there. I paid $30 a night and breakfast was included. I hope to come back some day!
Nothing special.
alaskantravelnuton 22/03/2016 20:38This place is OK. I had a private room with a bathroom. The shower had hot water for the 90 seconds it took me to get soaped up. The bathroom is very poorly lit. The price was $30 and did not include breakfast. This was 50 per cent more than the price listed in the guidebook, and I appeared to be the only one staying there. I have stayed in much nicer hostels for this price in Ecuador. The staff were friendly, but had little information readily available about activities. The owner? and others are set up to play music, and that seems to be their focus. The rainy, dreary weather did not help.
