great weekend getaway
Margaret Mon 15/05/2017 02:53stayed in a private cottage right across from the lake. Breakfast is delivered to your room and it was wonderful both days we were there. Staff was very nice and its all brand new so its really quite lovely. Close to town.
Very clean and quiet
nelliot2on 07/05/2017 22:38My husband and I were looking for a weekend get away. This was the perfect place to escape. Clean, modern and cozy. We loved the breakfast too. We stayed in the Twin Gables suite and didn't hear other guest at all. It was just what we needed to recharge.
You won't regret it!
Jennifer Non 05/05/2017 19:52One of the most comfortable and luxurious stays I've had in a while! The innkeeper was so accommodating with my uncertain arrival time. The bed was unbelievably comfortable and you can't beat unwinding in a jetted whirlpool tub, with the fireplace going, and watching your fav show on tv.
I have to also mention how wonderful the breakfast was. You are able to select your choice of meal the night before along with the time that you want to have it delivered. I honestly can't think of any improvements that they could make to provide a nicer stay! I will definitely return!

Bloodman33on 04/05/2017 04:04Take a 150 year old hotel and turn it into a romantic, adults-only, very modern BNB with great breakfasts and treats and you have the Hotel Saugatuck. Add in a few rooms with porches overlooking water, artsy space heater "fireplaces" that glow one of eight color combinations, huge rain-forest showers, hydro tubs, strong wi-fi, foam-topped king size beds and other interesting amenities and you have a great place to soak up the elegance that surrounds Saugatuck. Only two caveats: first, it is walking distance to downtown Saugatuck, but the walk is a bit over half a mile. Second, we were virtually alone in the main hotel - off season on a weekday. (There are also detached cabins.) We noticed prominent walking and vacuuming noises outside the room during the day. BUT, this is an elegant adult hotel. I doubt noise will be an issue. The in-room breakfasts were very yummy. We'd stay again, just not with the grandkids.
Magical Stay
swartzokeon 25/04/2017 22:23Newly re-opened and remodeled historic hotel near downtown Saugatuck. The room, staff and service was incredible. Breakfast each morning, sweet snack in the evening made this a cut above most places. Although off-season, we easily walked downtown to the art center and restaurants. Fantastic place.
