What People are saying

In room dining is delightful

Been to many traditional Japanese ryokan, this is one of the best value. Dinner is "colourful". Free shuttle bus waiting at the train station and take us direct to 上松屋。
Children table tennis and pool table for kids to have fun. English instruction is available if you are never been to Japanese ryokan.

Love this place

Great traditional ryokan

BeaSchRon 28/07/2015 08:47

We stayed at this ryokan for two nights. It was our first time in Japan and thus the first experience in a ryokan and onsen. It was an amazing experience from the beginning to the end: the welcome-tea in the lobby, choosing a colorful yukata, being shown how to wear it, the enormous room (we stayed in the combined Western-Japanese room), our daughter’s experience of sleeping on the futon, the onsen by day and night, having an amazing dinner served in the room, breakfast together with the other guests, the food etc. etc.

We really could feel the slow pace here and recovered from our previous stay in Tokyo!

The hosts had a great hospitality with friendly greeting & smiles and providing pick-up service from the train station. Highly recommend everyone to pay a visit and have a great relaxation there.

I wanna stay here again!!

It is my best memory to have hot springs in Japan, hotel room is very nice and clean.Breakfast and dinner are very special for the foreigners,it is also tasty and yummy. You can feel the slow pace here and get away the tension life in the city.

Great experience, Great Hospitality & Amazing Food~

I have visited this Ryokan for more than 5 times as my first experience there was totally beyond my experience and eventually brought me back again and again.

Great experience
From the design of Ryokan speaks the combination of old Japanese Ryokan history and evolution of new development. Around the cozy lobby, you see many little surprises from their decoration, lounge & a cute souvenir gift shop. When you walk around the lobby, you may also find a beautiful set of samurai arm suit.
Rooms are traditional japanee design that makes everyone feel working back from time. Hotspring is fantasy, especially the outdoor hotspring pool allows you to look out the view and enjoy great moment of peace (You must also note that traditional Ryokan swap hotspring rooms for male and female everyday so that you get the chance to enjoy different setup).

Great Hospitality
Pick-up service from train station, friendly greeting & smiles, Was surprised to find out the son of owner was studying/working in Britain & his wife is actually a Taiwanese who speaks English, Japanese & Chinese. Made it extremely easier for the exploration of the area with her great and kind guide.

Amazing food
You don't only find traditional Japanese cuisine here. Son of the owner who was studying/working in Europe made their menu multi-national and many innovation of Japanese food with European setting/flavour. And...they taste great~

Highly recommend everyone to pay a visit and have a great relaxation there.
