What People are saying

Limited but clean and cheery

morethanthat63on 30/03/2017 04:44

Stayed for two nights for work. Nothing fancy, no restaurant to speak of, coffee and bagels for breakfast, 5 seat bar ( wine was Napa and nice) so no real amenities on site ( did not use fitness center). Room was roomy, very comfort bed, linens clean and crisp, tv was good. You could open the window for some air which I like very much. Heat came in quick, noisy but didn't need it on much. Bathroom was very clean, shampoo and conditioner, hair dryer. All good. My Employer paid for it but I think was around $130. Seemed pricey but I think it's the only game in town. All the staff I met were very helpful, friendly and informative. I didn't have time to explore the neighborhood but drove through, what looked to be a college type downtown. All in all, clean and cheery. All good.

Clean; Dated technology-wise & poor floorplan

Connie Hon 28/03/2017 21:54

The room appeared clean but lacking in modern amenities. Outlets are not conveniently placed for charging electronics and there are no USB ports. The TV is small--maybe a 22". My computer monitor is bigger than the TV. My room had a Kureg but no coffees to make anything.
The bathroom and closet are tiny. The lighting is poor so its difficult to work in the room. They offer continental breakfast which was very limited. The muffins were stale and the fruit options limited. After seeing the selection the first day there, I went to a nearby Dunkin Donuts to get something for the second morning.
Because the room appeared relatively clean, I'm giving 3 stars but the limitations are significant.

Staff makes this hotel

Although outdated, this hotel is in a convient location. We only stayed one night for a concert in the area, but the staff really makes this hotel. We arrived very early and way before the check in time. Hayley helped us out and gave us a room early. We so appreciate the way she accommodated us, otherwise we would have had to wait around in the cold. I would stay in this hotel again.

Quick stop to winterfest

This was quick trip and the temperature was unusually warm @ 72 degrees, we had a great stay. We booked last minute, deciding not to crash in on relatives.
The front desk woman was super friendly. She gave us some tips on eateries and was very thorough with all she had to share. The hotel is located in a very historic part of Lowell if you are interested in the Industrial Revolution. There is a canal right beside the hotel. Pretty cool!

We would stay again when up visiting family.

Noisy

Catherine Lon 11/02/2017 14:13

Front desk clerks were cheerful and pleasant. Rooms clean and beds fairly comfortable. Elevator to rooms not heated but with only a few floors isn't too bad. BUT this is a very noisy place. Lots of college age kids who come in at wee hours of the morning and act like it's mid afternoon. Slamming doors, yelling and partying. It would help if front desk had some sort of cameras and speakers in the halls or even patrols to monitor the noise level and behavior. Overall not a bad place by any means as long as you like to stay up very late and then sleep in. If you have an early morning or are a light sleeper, stay elsewhere
