What People are saying
In need of rejuvenation
Clumsy Hon 11/06/2017 17:19We stayed for 9 nights in an executive room. The furnishing was old and dated which is expected, however the cleanliness and safety were also compromised.
I've witnessed baby cockroaches crawling all over, twice in the room and once in the restaurant! The room was so dusty that dust spackle can be seen everywhere, and we had a flu as a result.
The lamp on the room does not come with a switch, and by switching off the lamp means one would have to unplug the cable physically! And it doesn't help that one of the cable is exposed!
The service rendered by the staff also pale in comparison to the retail or f&b services that we encountered in Taipei. Take for instance, the first night as we arrived at about 930ppm and head to the restaurant for dinner with our young kid in toil, the staff requested for us to have drinks instead! The staff are not very knowledgeable with the directions nor amenities within the area.
Breakfast buffet spread is limited with the same variety everyday, the food is not hot but lukewarm. The staff did not even bother to forewarn or check with the guests before closing the buffet line.
And not to mention that for a business hotel, the Wi-Fi services does not work at night!
The only good thing is the convenient location of the hotel, situated right beside the mrt station, which is one stop away from the xinyi shopping district, and not to mention the yummy soya beancured and drink near to 7-11. And if you walk further down, there's even the craftoholic theme cafe and many other cafes or restaurants at the backlane.
It's a pity that the hotel fail to upkeep the image given that the new Taipei Dome is just directly opposite the hotel. The opportunity could be aplenty. The hotel is not guest centric but merely serving as a venue for accommodation. It render a feeling that the hotel might be closing its operation soon, given the kind of services it rendered.
Reasonable Priced and Excellend Location.
chrischen2607on 01/06/2017 09:11This hotel is strategically located in the eastern area of Taipei. Hotel is located right beside the metro.
Deco and furniture of hotel rooms were old and outdated but clean and comfortable.
Check in was smooth and hotel staffs were very helpful and polite throughout my stay. Reasonable price as well.
Super convenient location, great service and
Jim Won 22/05/2017 10:38We arrived early on the day, so we decided to pre-check-in our room and leave our luggage at the reception. The bellboy is super friendly and very helpful, thumbs up to the service he provided! We came back to pick up our room keys and one of our double room got free upgrade to business suite - awesome view of Taipei 101 and bigger room! The hotel is just a minute walk to Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall station and there is a 7-Eleven nearby which is very convenient location. Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family who are paying visit to Taipei.
Great location but average rooms
TaxMelon 17/04/2017 07:08Location is very convenient. Literally 1min walk to Sun Yat Sen Memorial MTR station (Exit 1). There are many restaurants and cafes within 5-10mins walk from the hotel. There are also convenient stores and one supermarket nearby. The bed is comfortable but the walls of the room are thin and i still smell cigarette smell though I had the non-smoking room. As there is only a standalone bathtub in the toilet, the floor does get wet easily. Just be caution on this....
Great location
mkjs66on 12/04/2017 09:39The hotel is a little old, maybe 2*. The rooms are clean but wear and tear on the furniture is visible.
Breakfast is a mix of local and western dishes. Not a bad variety.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
Big plus for this hotel is the location, situated behind Zhong Xiao east road, where all the shops are eg Zara, H & M, Uniqlo and other local shops. Restaurants are plenty too, definitely spoilt for choice. 7-11 and Family Mart are within walking distance. Mrt station is less than a minute walk.
