2nd visit and still exceptional in every way.amazing facilities abs friendly staff,highly recommended.a definite tick for the bucket list. Will be booking again soon for both courses again next year..

Tired villa and bored kids

Overall, this wasn't a bad villa, but definitely not worth the money paid. The kids loved the pool for the first day, and then got bored with the villa. Unfortunately, there is nothing available for kids on the resort or associated beach unless you want to reserve golf or tennis lessons (and we didn't). Ants were everywhere except for the kitchen (thankfully) and the pool had a loose tile. We wanted to let them know about our concerns , but the guy who took our keys on checkout wasn't really concerned about talking to us..just gave us our receipt and wished us safe travels. Won't return.

Great family location

We have been travelling to VDL for several years. We rent a villa in the resort. It really is a very easy family holiday. 20 mins drive from Faro and close to beaches, pools and lots of children's entertainment. Lots of good places to eat out (BJ's /Julie's are favourites) and good selection of supermarkets. Spa and golf are also excellent.

A splendid community by the sea. Picture perfect beaches. Scenic golf courses. Spa. Beautiful homes that rent out at reasonable prices especially during the Easter and Summer season (try KG Villa). Pleasant climate basically 10 months a year. The whole community is very well maintained and gardening in public areas is kept up very nicely. Recent improvements at the seaside "praca", where there are a host of restaurants, a few shops and a beachside pool, have made it an even better place to visit for lunch or dinner.

I loved it here.. we stayed here for 5 now gets.. so nice and relaxing. At times it was annoying the fact that you couldn't really walk anywhere .. not even the shop! Without having to call a bus. On 2/3 occasions it was upto 20 mins! But towards the end we started to get used to it.. The shop at the beach was closed. we couldn't fault the food. The staff at reception and drivers were all so nice and the staff at breeze. I think they really need a cigarette vending machine down at the praca. Would definitely return but only for a short break
