Stayed for Shareholder's 2017
TLuvsC2005on 08/06/2017 04:22This was probably the worst Hotel/Motel stay we've ever had. The staff was somewhat friendly but the person who stands out in my mind was the evening Clerk Aurora , she was the friendliest out of the bunch and the most helpful and always had a smile on her face. She was the only good thing about our stay there. We stayed for 4 out of 5 days we paid for and were told because we had stayed at a discounted online rate the night we weren't staying could not be refunded.
The room itself was clean basically, but the floor (3) we stayed on had a terrible smell just permeated entirely through out. ~ stomach turning at 1 point ~ The air conditioner worked well but the stove barely got hot enough to cook food which is part of the reason we had chosen to stay at this particular motel. We stayed in a non-smoking room that stank of tobacco smoke and the smoke alarm was actually covered with a plastic trash bag.The mattress was very uncomfortable and without a curtain on the window you were awake as soon as the sun came up. My husband also got bit by something all down his leg while we were there. We also saw roaches halfway through are stay which gave me the creeps. We kept everything in our suitcases or in plastic bags tied shut. If there would have been any availability at any other place in town we would have moved motels/hotels.
The location in relativity to the campus of AR , a Wal-mart ,and the highway was excellent. As for the services there really aren't any Wi-Fi which we paid for as well for the week,Laundry, and a couple of vending machines. We were scared to leave our laundry unattended courtesy of all the sketchy people milling about.
The outside of the motel , forget it. That should have been our first clue. There was an open plastic container with the contents thrown all over the parking lot. The trash can /dumpster was overflowing the entire stay, there were cigarette butts and tobacco trash every where in front of the entry doors. And the sketchy people hanging out day and night were unsettling. Somebody actually punched the courtesy counter off it's posts while we were there. You weren't supposed to be able to enter without a key card but at night a lot of the time ,there were people ( possibly transients )waiting for somebody to open the doors so they could hurry and get through it before it closed and locked again.
I would not choose to stay at another Value Place location anywhere ever.
Horrible
jenmill25on 10/04/2017 15:50It's like a transient hotel. Dogs and children everywhere. Lobby & Elevator dirty! Hallways had bad odors from all the different cooking in the rooms. Found drug paraphernalia under bed. Dirty bathroom floor. A/C didn't work, couldn't sleep with window open, because traffic outside noise too loud!
Great value!!
Priyanka Non 01/12/2016 15:05I stayed at Value place for a 6 week long medical treatment at Fayetteville Arkansas.
As a woman staying alone, safety was my first priority. I always felt at ease knowing the hotel was fully secure, accessible only with key cards for guests. It also had installed cameras for added security. The staff and residents were friendly and always very helpful. You get your room cleaned every other week, included in your room rent which was good value for your money. I also got a refund for the couple of weeks that I prepaid for that I didn't end up staying. I was very grateful to the manager. It is definitely more affordable than living in a hotel and you don't have to deal with the hassle of signing leases with apartments. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the facility was a little old. However it didn't bother me much because it was always kept clean. I will certainly stay there during my next visit.
Not my idea of a hotel stay
Becky Hon 19/11/2016 21:21We were here for 10 days visiting family so we needed something not too costly. The workers seemed to be ok. I wish if they were not going ro clean the room that they would have cleaning supplies in rhe room. I can't go but a couple of days without cleaning the bathroom so that was an extra cost. We did have two beds so we didn't have ro worry about clean sheets. We are looking into a bnb next time.
Never again!
Linda Son 17/11/2016 04:33Beds were the worst that I have had even in cheaper hotels. No housekeeping, they are biweekly so if you're there for a couple of nights you have to beg for beds made and towels put in your room. If you take the dirty towels to the office you can trade for clean ones. But someday we left for work before office was open and returned they were closed. Hallways and office smell. A few shady characters hanging out in parking lot. $3 per day for Wifi
Very noisy, hard to relax or sleep. Washers in laundry room did not work.
No ice machines, you get 2 ice trays in your freezer if you want to use them. That didn't help for the first night.
Price was supposed to be $99.95, got it for $80 plus taxes. Still too much $ for the room.
