I visited this place in the middle of December 2016 with my husband and my 3year old boy to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

From the first look, the place looks it has been in operation for a long time. Its not got that brand new polished look.
It is exactly as seen in the pictures.
The location is good as the cottages are at a stone's throw away from the beach.
There is no beach view from the cottages but only greenery and garden.
The beach you walk into from the hotel is non-crowded and clean.

There is plenty of staff for different jobs and they are helpful.

The room is neat, tidy and well equipped with Tv, A/c, fan, There was no minibar and no locker, infact we had to sign a declaration stating that we are solely responsible for the loss or theft of any belongings .

The buffet breakfast is average.
The restaraunt which offers food to the hotel occupants, even though plenty of options are available serves average food(that is nothing great as such).

The place offers total peace in a laid back relaxed style. The pool is clean.

So, overall you can relax and enjoy the beach and the swimming pool by the sun, sand and the sea but not in luxury.

With the given discount that I got at MMT, the place is okay to stay.

Do not make the mistake of staying in this hotel. The hotel is in shambles. The fittings in the rooms are falling to pieces. The bathroom is unclean - the taps do not work well. The rooms are unclean. The service is very poor. The food in the free breakfast buffet used to finish. We had to plead repeatedly for the food to be replenished, and it still was not.The only redeeming feature is the location of the hotel - its is almost on the beach.

Best avoided at all costs!

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in! 2 sunbeds next to a filthy pool and only about a dozen available on whole site. No parasols for shade. Whole place very run down and dangerous........Exposed wiring and electrical boxes.
Can imagine it was great in it's day as situated right on the beach but this resort has never been maintained. More staff than guests and all ineffectual. Couldn't even get orange juice at the bar! This was the third hotel we stayed in and almost ruined our whole holiday.
Didn't expect much but got a whole lot less!

its a lovely place with lovely location, and very good staff. the place if renovated will make it to the best places in goa. for now, the rooms near the pool villa are the best...not very luxurious but good enough, the dining facilities are good, not very elaborate or 4 -5 star quality but good. i loved the location, the quaintness to the whole area, and the great staff! they really make the place even better with their promptness and friendly response.

Very poorly maintained and a rundown property

Varca le Palms rooms were dirty, poorly maintained and badly cleaned. The swimming pool is unbelievably dirty. Not fit for human usage. Hotel staff are well meaning but ineffectual.
The breakfast buffet is awful. We have eaten our body weight in eggs over the past 2 weeks - only edible part of the offering.

Such a shame as the resort is in a fabulous beach location and with some care and attention could be really nice.
