Best place to be in Platanias

We stayed here for a week in July and everything was just perfect. We stayed at the villa just off the hotel and had a private pool just for our use. We ate lunch a coupe of times at the hotel, the food was brilliant. The villa is a gem; it has 3 bedrooms all accomppanied with private bathrooms and a comfortable living area. There is a private pool just outside with children's section and a hot tub, so it's nice and private if you fancy a midnight swim (for instance). This is the perfect family vacation spot: quiet, spacious, private but near all necessary facilities. Highly recommended. In the photo the villa pool at night.

A pleasant hotel operated by a nice couple. A great pool area with a great view and clean rooms. Well maintained facilities. 5-7 min's walk to the beach, but at the same time adequate distance from the more noisy party areas. Location and access require you to be mobile and not to have any issues with walking stairs or steep hills.
We could be without the chickens in the adjacent area as this may wake you up in the morning.
We didn't have any meals there.

Nice hotel with a good view

Hotel Varouxakis is a beautiful hotel some hundred meters up the road from centrum in Platanias. It’s about in the middle between Platanias centrum and the old city on top. The hotel and its host/Management Silvia and George, are to say fantastic. they’re both son is also working there. This family, do the stay special, due to their always kindness, and you are seen and feel welcome every day you meet them. Due to the location a bit over the centrum, it is always quiet, and the view are very nice over the city and sea. The complete hotel is always very clean, both in the room, the public area, and the pool area. I mean very clean. The food in the café are very good. The hotel is perfect for relaxing, and also a good location for the active people. Just a few hundred meters up from the hotel, there are many gravel road & path to walk/jog in the valley and mountain.

We absolutely recommend Hotel Varouxakis :-)

This family run family hotel, is one of the greatest hotels ive been to in my life. The staff and owners of the hotel, is so open and welcoming. Its a quiet place for relaxing and not far from the nearest restaurant, nor the city center. The pool is not that big, but its really clean and is heated. Would strongly recommend this hotel when going to Create.

Fantastic enviroment and hospitality

We stayed on the villa second time and enjoyed every moment. On the pool there was fantastic view over the platanias area, especially the sunsets were spectacular. Villa was very peaceful and comfortable. It was still very close to the centre and hill restaurants. Thumbs up for the owners, Silvia and George you were so helpful and very friendly !
