Fantastic Citybreak

We enjoyed beautiful Venice for 4 days & the weather was superb. We stayed at Hotel Centrale in Maetre. Bedroom was nice & very clean also nice continental breakfast. Hotel staff also nice & helpful. This hotel only accept 3 pin plug. See photo below.
Bus number 7e goes to Venice & bus stop is just across the road from the hotel. €3 single pp. Venice a must see & there's a boat hop on/hop off €20 a day pp. foods not too bad & good value for money. I would go back again only with photographers.

Chaotic embarkation

We flew at 11pm on 11th September 2016 from Treviso back to GB East Midlands. The security was good and thorough but after security checks the airport was seriously understaffed with the same two people checking luggage then moving to checking boarding cards then eventually rushing to checking boarding cards again for embarkation onto the aircraft.
This led to all the passengers being sent down to a small holding area for an hour waiting to embark the aircraft. It became more and more hot and crowded as more people came down the escalator some dangerously having to straddle the moving sides of escalator as the just couldn't fit in the area. It was potentially very dangerous and elderly passengers were becoming very distressed by the experience.
My advice use Marco Polo airport it's much neater and better run

Busy airport

Worst airport I've been to, the organisation was terrible and no one knew what they were doing, and people with fast passes didn't receive it. The food at the restaurants was nice with fast access and easy choices.

Excellent service Trevisoairporter . Com cheapest on line 55 euros for 5 from the airport to camping jolly large people carrier air conditioning room 30 mins great value the on line booking did not have camping jolly as a destination so emailed the contact in English and confirmed the booking - no deposit - all done on trust (unusual these days) with our flight details submitted all done and paid the driver in cash - our return also booked by email prompt no fuss service recommended

Across the street from the airport

It's more like a hostel than a hotel. The main benefit is it's location, across the street from the airport, ideal for early flights. The room had plenty of space and was quite clean, but the bathroom was outside. Another inconvenience was that the "receptionist" had just some basic italian language skills, but we managed somehow. Overall, it wasn't something I would have booked anywhere else for that price.
