Very Well Locates

This little hotel is very well located. The room was large and comfortable. A bonus was a bolster pillow. The en suite had a full size bath. The coffee shop on the ground floor had excellent coffee and snacks. The staff were very polite and helpful. The only down side was a bit of traffic noise.

Pleasant, businesslike and value for money

We stayed here 4 nights and were delighted by the convenient location, knowledgeable and warm staff, and great room. It was large, well appointed and very comfortable. Extremely clean. And good value for money. The staff bent over backwards to help us with our inquiries, made great suggestions for restaurants and shopping - and even touchingly gave us a little gift when we left: a lovely package of local yummy cookies. Would go back - we adore Oviedo!

A brilliant base for our city break!

Whilst booking our trip to Oviedo, Hotel Vetusta stood out as a good little place a beautiful building a stone's throw from the Historic Heart of a beautiful city, the bustle of Gascona and the adventures of the rest of Asturias as the train and bus stations were nearby too.

We were not disappointed. The rooms were lovely and the hotel was fantastic value for money with a lovely rainforest-simulating shower with good pressure, air-conditioning and wifi available throughout. There were no tea or coffee facilities, but that is normal for Europe. Anyway, the cafe was a far more lovely place to enjoy good food and lovely drinks and watch the world go by.

The only downside was the noise of the traffic going by as we were on the first floor, which had doors leading out onto sweet little balconies, which would be troublesome for light sleepers. I am certain that this would have been less of an issue in other rooms, which did not have doors leading onto balconies. However, because the balconies added to the picturesque aesthetic of the hotel, I probably would take caution if changing this.

I would honestly recommend this Hotel for anyone wanting to stay in Oviedo.

Low cost

Simple but comfortable room. Friendly staff. Good location for the old town and new. Would recommend for couples or a single traveller who wants a central location to explore Oviedo. The park is minutes away and is a lovely open space within the town.

Pleasantly surprised

I stayed here one night after receiving a special offer on booking.com. I found it to be excellent value for money. The room was very clean, modern and spacious. Half of the windows looked out onto a cute plaza and the other half onto a medieval facade. The hotel was less than a 5 minute walk from the main sights in the old city and about the same distance to the best shopping and dining. The only downside was that one of the receptionists was rather rude.
