Excellent location for couple stay with great ambiance
nish700on 24/08/2017 18:57Vijayshree resort is very close to nature , full of greenery . Loved all the aspects of the resort. They have rajasthani cultural activities such as puppet show, camel ride, horse ride, magic, folk dance etc in evening which entertained us a lot. Food served is also of good quality with the option of rajasthani thali. The staff is also very good, welcoming with Indian style on entry to the resort .
Vijayshree Resort : A Luxury Stay in Hampi
singhrubyon 23/08/2017 17:14Vijayshree Resort and Heritage Village is a luxury accommodation in Hampi. Located just few kilometers away from Hosapete, it is easily reachable if you are coming by bus or train. The property is sprawled across twenty acres and houses forty three cottages of different capacities. The first thing that strikes about the resort is the lush green sights all around you. Since the property expanses across acres its not possible to walk around every nook and corner but I did my best.
As you walk in the resort a gigantic door opens and some random still from Jodha Akbar might flash across your mind. The reception is nicely done with minimalistic decors. The staff is courteous and prompt. My cottage was allotted to me in advance and I was given the keys in no time. As I stepped out of the reception area a funky open air car was waiting for me. It took me to my cottage.
My cottage was of decent size, neither too big nor too small. It was Equipped with everything that one might need. A huge double bed, a medium size television, electric kettle to make tea/coffee, necessary toiletries, storage space and a seating place for two people. The paintings on the ceiling were the most interesting aspect of the decor. The cottages are of different sizes and capacity. Depending on your need you can opt for a bigger cottage. There are forty three cottages to choose from, so basically you are spoiled for choices.
Like many other hotels, breakfast is included in the reservation at Vijayshree Resorts. It included flavors of both North and South India. If you are interested in English breakfast, that was available too. There was a live station for Dosa which was hands down the most popular from the whole breakfast spread. The seating for breakfast is in open air on first floor, so if you manage to get a good spot you could enjoy your breakfast with the lush green view of the property. I also ordered dinner from their Multicusine Vegertarian fine dining restaurant and the service was quick and food was good too. The Vijayshree team also offers a sit down Rajasthani dinner for its guest at Manwar Restaurant, so if you don’t wish to order in dinner you could go for this option.
The cottages are interesting but the property of Vijayshree Resort is fascinating. It has huge gardens carpeted with green grass till the end of your sight. The whole property is a green canvas dotted with colors from various flowers. It is great for morning/evening walks and the gardens can regale kids to another level. Strolling around the property was my favorite thing to do. The property has been thoughtfully designed around the concept of five elements of life which are earth, fire, wind, water and sky.
Apart from all this Vijayshree Resort also offers you the indoor and outdoor play area, again great for kids. If you are done with that play some water sports in their swimming pool. The Nirvana Spa, located at Pool Side offers Ayurveda & Hamam spa which help guests relax, refresh and rejuvenate. Vijayshree experience is incomplete unless you visit their theme Heritage Village. It focuses around the theme of “One Village, Glorious Heritage”. The main aim of this village is to bring you close to the rural Indian life. It opens in the evenings and offers fun activities like horse riding, camel riding, tribal dance, magic show and a lot more.
Perfect location and ambience.
Chandana Ron 14/08/2017 12:49This would be the first place I d choose to stay if at all I visit hampi once more. It's ten min drive from hampi. The ambience is so good. Room is very spacious and clean. No issues with TV, washroom and hot water. U ll be welcomed in a traditional way with smiling faces which is a good thing for someone who is so tired because of journey. They ll pick u up from room to the main gate and vice versa. Evening activities include traditional Rajasthani dance, magic show, puppet show, gymnastics... They are different. Magic show is the special attraction. The only draw back is the food. It is a bit costly. We din't even order it after going through the menu. So can't comment on the taste. We had coffee which is good but costly. Still u can have a cup of coffee in the coffee shop just to have a nice feel in the early morning amidst of plantations watching sunrise. It's worth it. Dint use the spa. But pool is good. I think it's roughly 6 feet deep.
My advice would be, wake up early to enjoy the sunrise and fresh air. Have a walk or read a book sitting on the bench in the park or have coffee listening to music.
Pool is open from 7a.m. to 7p.m.
Overall it's very economical and enjoyable
Best in class Luxury resort/Hampi

Terrible management. Expensive & Mediocre food.
Harsha Von 13/08/2017 11:17I had a pretty bad experience dealing with their management on the phone. I had made the mistake of accidentally double booking on their website due to what seemed like an error with my credit card transaction. When I called them to request cancelling one of the bookings, they insisted that I had agreed to "terms and conditions" and no refund was possible, even when I suggested that they could deduct an appropriate cancellation fee. I then spoke with a supervisor who was extremely rude and hung up on me. Although eventually a portion of my extra booking was refunded, this was a pretty terrible customer experience.
The resort itself is pretty nice with well groomed grounds and comfortable accommodations. The food however is very mediocre but with exorbitant prices. (I would recommend driving 5 miles to Clark's inn in kamalapur for decent food at reasonable prices). The staff at the hotel were pleasant and helpful. The kids had fun at the magic and puppet shows.
