Beautiful apartment building which is run by a lovely family, nothing is to much trouble they also have a taxi service which was very reasonable. The pool is lovely it is open 08:00 to 20:00 they also offered extra towels for the pool if needed so if your trying to save on packing you can leave towels at home and the views from the pool and terraces are just stunning I could of sat there all day.
A number 6 bus goes 1 way to old town and the other to Copacabana beach which is lovely, If you get a 30kuna ticket from a ticket booth it lasts 24hours otherwise it's 15kuna a journey a lot of walking uphill and steps so the regular bus service is great.
Vila Curic is highly recommended for a stay in Dubrovnik. On the Lapad Peninsula, high up the hill is this beautiful property with pool that overlooks the Lapad bay. Greeted on check in and assisted to our 2 bedroom apartment (5th floor) via lift, the hotel staff showed us around and explained their facilities. The view from our double room looked out over the bay and the high opening windows allowed you to sit there and watch the world go by.
The pool is open from 8am until 8pm and is immaculate. The sun loungers are comfortable and there is an outdoor shower facility along with toilet too.
The hotel has a small garden area where my kids loved watching the turtles being fed in the mornings.
If you struggle with hill walking, you may need to consider taking a taxi back up from town as the steep walk is not everyone's cup of tea. There is a bus at the end of the street that goes into Lapad and continues through to Dubrovnik old town gated entrance.
This is a modern and very conveniently situated property with lovely bars and restaurants within walking distance. Lapad beach is a short walk too.
For anyone who likes a glass of wine, the owners of Vila Curic make their own red and white too. We loved this wine and bought a few bottles. 100 Kuna for the white and slightly more for the red.
Keep up the good work guys because you run a very beautiful establishment and we would love to return and see you again soon.
The staff were really friendly and accommodating.
We asked to switch rooms on the first day as my parter and I had our own room and my parents hard theirs but neither room had a balcony.
We were able to pay a little more to switch to a double bedroom, however it was a little disappointing that we had to spend more money to stay in a different roomy that still wasn't really ideal as there was only one double bed and too singles.
The rooms could use some decorating at they are very basic and outdated but they are very clean!
The hotel is in a decent location with a number 6 bus stop just a few minutes walk meaning you don't need to tackle all of the steps to get home after a long day of exploring.
Overall all we had a really nice stay and I would recommend to others.
We stayed here with our 2 year old son in late May/ early June and really enjoyed our stay. We arranged an airport transfer with Franjo the manager and he even stopped at the supermarket on the way to the villa so we could buy the essentials, which was a nice touch. We had one of the 2 bedroomed villas with the large terrace which was ideal for our son as it had 2 parasols which enabled him to play in the shade when it got very hot. The terrace was large and had ample space for loungers and table & chairs which we used every morning to eat our breakfast watching the cruise ships arrive.
Because of the large outdoor space we spent very little time time inside the apartment during waking hours but the rooms were a decent size and spotless. The only negative I could mention was the hardness of the bed, but that is only a negative if you are use to a soft mattress. As it is family run, they really pay particular attention to the needs of their clients and were eager to please in all aspects.
The rooftop pool was great as it allowed us to have some to chill and our son to enjoy the water. There are about 8 loungers which was enough as the pool was rarely busy. The views from the pool again were magnificent.
The location is up a steep hill but what else would you expect if you get the views as you can't get one without the other. If you are not able to walk up a steep hill, the bus stop is about 200m away and the hill from there is less severe.
Overall, I would definitely stay here again if I were to return to Lapad as I couldn't fault it. The staff went out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible and we honestly felt that we could have approached the staff to help on any matter. Franjo and his team are a rare thing as they pride themselves in making sure your stay is perfect.
This was a last minute holiday that our family decided to book, we initially wanted to stay close to the old city but the only place available for our family of 5 was this villa with a 2 bedroom apartment in Lepad which overlooks the old town.
Once we arrived we knew it was going to be something special with the spectacular views of the mountainside and harbour.
The apartment itself was so spacious and clean and our balcony was enormous. Bars and restaurants were all within walking distance, you must visit the cave bar absolutely breathtaking.
Trips into the old town were so quick and cheap by taxi.
Would highly recommend this villa and Croatia.
We will be back.
