Decent Italian restaurant.
Fabian Pon 23/06/2016 15:52Didn't stay at the hotel but went to the restaurant for dinner with colleagues. The restaurant is located outside the city in a fairly quiet are only a few kilometers from the highway.
The manager is quite friendly, speaks several languages and likes to play the more extravagant Italian waiter, which is entertaining. The young waitress we had was quite the opposite... I don't think I saw as much as half a smile on her face the entire evening.
Food is ok and service is rapid, but don't expect high end Italian cuisine or you will be disappointed. Prices are also in line with what you'd expect form a German Italian.
Great authentic Italian restaurant
Soywasabion 24/05/2016 13:56This is a review for the restaurant, not the hotel. They make their own pasta, and it's always fantastic. I usually go for the 3 pasta sampler, so I can try 3 dishes at once. They let you choose your own combo from the menu, or they can surprise you. Cheery fast service, generous servings, and a small terrace outside for enjoying the sun. They do takeaway too.
Nice place just outside the city
Dannioson 17/05/2016 17:11Its a nice hotel. My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights. The rooms are large and the beds are really comfortable. Within 20 minutes your in the City centre of Düsseldorf by bus. Breakfast was oke.
Just one small thing: The room did smell a bit funny. But it was easily resolved by opening a window.
Overall a nice stay.
Didn't stay, just enjoyed the restaurant
Wolfgang Son 20/02/2016 18:46A good restaurant choice for a quick dinner. The food was good (noodles with chicken breast, lasagne and risotto with mushrooms were our choices) , the restaurant is nice and clean. Prices are good and service was friendly and quick.
The hotel and restaurant is very convenient to the Düsseldorf airport (10 minutes).
Made to Feel Welcome
dbat341on 30/11/2015 09:11Our family (two adults one teenager) stayed at the Villa Ratingen for 10 days while waiting for our apartment to open up. Andy, Guitano and the rest of the staff made us feel extremely welcome. Andy helped us with shopping, with receiving packages, with a place to work while others slept, with German, and with anything else that we possibly needed (especially since he seemed to always be there). Every single hotel employee that we encountered was friendly and helpful.
The Italian restaurant was fantastic, well worth future visits even when not staying at the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious. The hotel had quite a bit of needed remodeling going on while we were there, but we never had any noise problems. WiFi was great. Conference room was very useful.
I have to admit that when we pulled up to the front the dated exterior left me a little worried, but that quickly became irrelevant.
