Excellent stay, beautiful surroundings, quite area, fantastic rooms and good customer oriented stuff.
It's 20 km away from Frankfurt center, and there is not much to do in the area of you don't have a car, but makes a perfect stay for a relaxed weekend.
The breakfast buffet very good as well. On the con side, the pool and gym are on a brother hotel 1km away, but they offer free shuttle service.
Having lunch there in the open field paired with a magnificent cuisine makes it quite an experience.

This is a nice boutique hotel with a limited number of rooms, great service and a beautiful park.

1) the room. Quite spacious, big bathroom, very very quiet (so important). Wifi was ok even if you have to log in from time to time.

2) food. Breakfast was ok. Buffet is quite limited but you can order dishes (omelet, sausages, pancakes...) from a menu. My eggs were too salty but they have a great selection of tea.

3) service: I didn't have any problem so it is difficult to judge but staff was quite responsive and friendly.

4) atmosphere: place is quite nice with some historical notes which provide character. It is not too ostentatious which is something I despise. If you've money never show it.

The spa and pool are located on their other property and they offer a shuttle service. I never bothered but it is there I guess.

A good place because it is not big and it is has character compared to the big branded chains.

Traveled as GHA Platinum member, staff extremly helpful by all questions arising.Beautiful room, very large with a chimney ! Spacious bathroom ! The Spa and health Club is not on premises :-( but in the Partner Hotel. Free shuttle propvided. But the spa in the Kempinski Grand is not worth visiting as far as the old part of the spa is used. Small Saunas, Kids in the spa running around ...
The Best of all was the breakfast,which is not the regular buffet breakfast, this Rothschild Breakfast was phantastic ! I would and will return if I m again in the Frankfurt Area !

Stay as nobility at a beautiful, historic property

Easily my favorite Frankfurt area hotel with its beautiful appearance and appointments and lovely staff. It's a bit of a drive from airport or city center compared to other properties but well worth the trip to Taunus.

I stayed in a suite with a magnificent great room and a charming, remote controlled gas fireplace. I could not help but feel as a nobleman surrounded by rich wooden carving, stately appearance, and attentive staff.

One note for improvement--Wi-Fi, whilst free, is intermittent. Cellular coverage is also weak at times, making reliance on Wi-Fi more important.

An average Kempinski hotel

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights for business reasons.

The hotel is situated outside of Frankfurt-city, near Kronberg aum Taunus. The landscape around the hotel is just great, but it is somehow difficult to find the place (your taxi driver really needs to know the place).

The service at the reception desk was just fine ; the room was fine too, with traditional furniture ; to me, it was lacking the luxury design of a traditional Kempinski. The bathroom was fine too, nothing specific there.

The breakfast has a variety of choice, but not enough place for people to sit, so it is rapidly packed in the morning ; round table are also not very practical when you have a lot of people around. Service was not always consistent for breakfast.

So, all in all, having tested another Kempinski hotel, I found this one below expectations. The hotel has a lot of character, but it is a bit outdated, and it lacks the usual luxury of a Kempinski.
