Well I'm sorry to say but this was a never do it again. The staff (who I think are the owners) were friendly and tried to accommodate but that's it. The fly shatter hanging in the wall was the first sign. Rooms smelled moldy, bathroom was so narrow and the ceiling was so low I kept hitting my hands on it when I'd change, the tv worked and they had satellite, the refrigerator was loud and hummed all night, the Ac unit was loud as well, no ice machine. I could go on and on. The price was to high for the quality.

"Hope you never have changes in your travel plans"

I arranged a motel stay for an out of town guest for the University's graduation weekend. Since the guest was traveling as part of a group there were several changes in their plans. So, I had to cancel the reservation only to have to call to request a new reservation several days later. Although the motel was all booked up at that time, the manager/front desk attendant kindly called me back once she had a cancellation so that I could make a new reservation. That was kind of her and I was very grateful for that. However, when the group's travel plans changed again, I again needed to cancel the reservation. This was very frustrating to her and I understood that and apologized for the inconvenience. But it didn't stop there, the manager/attendant became condescending, and irate. I repeatedly apologized, but made it clear that in no uncertain terms would she continue to talk to me in that manner. She ended the call with "don't call here again, we don't want to do business with you!" To which I agreed with mutual feelings and said goodbye. So, unfortunately, or fortunately, I can't give you a review of the facilities. Sad to say... I'm glad I can't.

the only one motel in town

With no competition, this place is under average expectation for any traveler looking for a decent place of rest. While the manager was friendly, the room was not. I paid like for three stars but the place don't deserve more than one and a half.
If you are interested in visiting Andrews University, you should ask them for a room or look for a decent place in Niles, several miles away.

Fleabag

We knew we were in trouble when we walked in the room and saw a flyswatter hanging by the light-switch. The shower had a cracked soap holder and was sharp enough to cut you.
The air conditioner was a window unit with can foam around it - well around most of it. There was plenty of room for flies to enter.

Carpet had the feel of humid flea-infested moose hide. And that was it's good points.

Never again.

This hotel is not worth 20 bucks a night

Tv hardly worked, lights were out, rust all over the bathrooms, smelled bad and after I declined to stay there, they told me there was no return policy so I was out 200 dollars... Worst hotlel experience of my life!!
