Even though cheap, not worth it
iloverocknroll1984on 27/06/2017 21:05I stayed for 2 nights in a single room. Even though it was only 30 euros per night, I will not go back. Lots of dust & spiderwebs, curtains too small to cover the windows and you can hear people on the hallway or in neighboring rooms really loud. Receptionists did not speak any English.
Spartan rooms & curt service
Pralineson 25/12/2016 12:50We were visiting friends and stayed here for 3 nights as it was the only hotel open in the vicinity. I would not recommend it unless you had no other choice.
The hotel has no lift and I had lug heavy suitcases up 3 flights of stairs. The walls are thin and the floorboards creak so if you are a light sleeper you would hear everything. Rooms were very basic but at least clean and neat. Bathroom had a walk in shower and no toiletries except for bar soap and towels. I guess for approx 50 euros per night one cannot complain...
Breakfast was simple but adequate.
The service was not very friendly and staff were very strict about breakfast and checkout timings. One minute late and the breakfast would be gone. Overall we did not feel welcomed nor encouraged to visit again.
Next door was a restaurant called The Ente. Now that was a charming place with good local cuisine and good service. I'm not sure if the restaurant was associated with the hotel but definitely worth trying.
a mix of business and leisure
mohalaaon 17/05/2016 18:20good location..accessible ..clean and fuctional some services could be added to make such hotel an excellent one such as daily newspapers,air fun or coditioning in the room(it was so hot in august!).stronger WIFI
very nice little hotel
jules24765on 28/12/2014 00:08Stayed at the Waldhotel last week and visited the Christmas markets in Dusseldorf & Cologne, myself & 7 family members stayed at the hotel which was basic but very clean, we all slept like a log at the hotel. On arrival we were greeted by the receptionist who was very pleasant and very helpful, my partner had a problem with his car and the receptionist phoned the Peugeot garage and booked the car in for the following morning, we were also all given free tickets to use the public transport during the whole of our stay.
Nice small hotel in a quiet place
rassyon 18/07/2013 08:48This is a very small and really nice hotel in a very calm place. Close to the yacht port, nice place to sit in the evenings. Spacious and clean rooms. Just one thing that dissapointed us- breakfast. The variety was really very poor. No warm food at all. If you stay only few days, it's ok, but if longer there would be a problem with the breakfast.
