Needed a place that had a reasonable price

When we went to our room and opened the door it smelled extremely musty. We noticed that the heat vents had rust on them. When we took off our shoes we found that the carper was wet. We went to the front desk and they told us that they had not recently had the carpet cleaned in this room.

They upgraded us to a different room on the water. What an upgrade!! Same style of room,very old looking. When we went into the bathroom, the shower had a hole in it. They covered up the hole with clear tape. We did not use it or the pool.

When we checked out the hot tub there was a bunch of sand on the bottom of it.

Cheaper is not always better. Stay away from this place. Very old and run down.

Booked online using a tablet at mackinaw-city.com. the hotel said it had free breakfast but when I asked where it was and they said they didn't have any. I showed her the website that I bought from and prove to her that it said they had free hot breakfast but she said that they don't serve hot breakfast or any breakfast. I called Mackinaw City tourism and told the lady the same thing but she was just as useless as the lady at the front desk. I will try to upload a picture from my tablet if not I will write another review in upload one from my computer to prove I have been staying in Mackinaw and going to the water parks for about 10 years now with our son and every time we've had free hot breakfast if they don't have it at 1 Motel they will send you to another to have theirs this place is definitely not worth the price when you can stay for $20 more and have a free breakfast at a nicer place

Needed a place that was resonable

We took our son to Mackinaw and needed to have two rooms that were reasonably priced. The room was clean, but the bottom sheet on the bed didn't fit and the top sheet was ripped. My husband asked the housekeeper for a new set of sheets but nothing was changed. This place is okay but it sure needs to be updated and modernized at least a little bit. If you are looking for a place that you won't drain your pockebook then I would say try this place.

The room was clean with access to a very nice clean sandy beach area with a large fire pit. Nice indoor pool and the staff was friendly and helpful!! Room also included access to the nearby water park that also has a large pool and hot tub. Can't beat it for the price!

Traveling through the area and needed a place to stay for the night

The price was great!!! The room was very clean had everything you needed except in iron. The bed and pillows were comfortable the bathroom spotless.
The person at the desk was very friendly and offered us discounts at local restaurants and was very helpful and sending us in the right direction for these discounts.
We were very surprised to find a lower-priced motel and such a busy tourist area.
For those who have children and would be an ideal place to stay because you have access to the beach as well.
