Pleasant Staff but Quite Didn't Get the Feel of ITC Here (Maybe it was an One-Off Day)

The Deceitful Experience with Booking.Com led us here in the first place. But on reaching there, the Staff was warm, cordial and did it's best to undo the 'Unpleasantness' injected by Booking.Com.

After a long wait, due to Booking.Com not forwarding a confirmation mail, we finally got keys to our room, with help of the Duty Manager. While the Staff was cordial, the wait in the Lobby was seeming to be a bit long and the facade within did not help either. It appeared constricted as an access to a Hotel. The maintenance of the Porch and ambience inside wasn't too inviting. ITC Maurya and Sheraton seem to be soaking more of that ITC trademark ambience and staff power as well, I guess.

The travel in the elevator was encouraging with clear glass to gaze through and the sight of a local shopping arcade below was amusing though. Since this was my first night out with my Son, i wanted it to be special for him and he had quite liked his stay at Welcome, Jodhpur in terms of greenery, quality of food, service and ambience. As we walked towards our room, we noticed the 'Mumbai Chawal-type' collection of rooms along the pathway which was without AC; yet carpeted. We encouraged each other and reached the room and hoped that a quick freshening-up with some long Pool time and then the ITC TAG Food will do us a lot of good.

The room was just fine, with some not much known toiletries and an empty refrigerator. On querying the In-Room Dining, i was told that items are placed on request; which was fine but then it would have been better to put a list of items to select from and call for.

Son then wanted to go for a swim and there we went with full morale-boosting effort. But Alas !!! The Pool was disallowed by the attendant at the exit of the elevator because there was a "PRIVATE POOL PARTY" on and people were drinking and smoking there. We were told that the Pool won't be available till next day. Dejected we returned to our Room and called the Duty Manager, who assured we will get to swim soon. That did not happen for a long time and on confirming again we were told it was a no go but the staff seemed apologetic. Meanwhile, we requested for some snacks and later called for meals in the Room while we waited. Nothing happened on the Pool and we could not go but the food was GOOD as ever in an ITC !! One good observation in an otherwise a 'Let-Down' visit to this Hotel that day.

As a Father I felt really bad for not being able to live up to my own expectations of an evening, alone, with my Son but then it was late and so, we slept. Next morning I dropped my Son to School and came back and checked out of the Hotel. Meanwhile I booked ourselves in a really nice place in Aerocity (One we had been to recently) and shifted there once I picked up my Son from School. Our stay in the next Hotel, one of our favorites in Delhi, was Fabulous and he enjoyed there and loved every bit of it.

For now, it may not be Welcome, Dwarka for us to stay but we hope that it reshapes itself to the Tag of being an ITC Hotel soon. Good service, nice staff but poor delivery and Management, i suppose. Or, it may be a case of Franchise gone wrong (If that is the Case).

It may still be a Good hotel to crash for a night, in waiting for a flight out of Delhi, if you are not lucky with accommodation nearer in the Aerocity.

Will visit again if it comes up to our expectations by then. Best wishes to the kind Staff and Management which is doing it's best there.

Worth the price, excellent services, definitely visiting back.
Very delicious food, appreciative chefs, beautiful property.
Impressed to the the fullest. Would love to get back to this immensely beautiful property situated in Dwarka.

Aswm hotel really gauri is very kind hearted and very helpful person and I am too much impress and i really want to visit again. This hotel is very beautiful and unique. The facility are very aswm. Thanks for your services.

Truely a home away from home experience...Amazing place to spend your holidays ... Experienced amazing hospitality .. Service were excellent.. Advisable to all to visit atleast once to experience the truly amazing hotel..!!

It was a really amazing feel to be there, specially the staff which treated me at there best... It's the most lovely feel to be there and want to visit there soon again... I was there just to get relax from my regular routine and my choice figured out to be the best choice in the city. I'm amazed by the way way they kept each and every little things. I'm so happy and planning to visit there soon....!!!!
