Unbeatable location
Aditi Shukla Fon 30/05/2017 07:54We travelled to Sardar Samand Palace as part of a family trip - nearly 25 people including kids - and despite the searing heat (it was 48 degrees C on our first day there), we have come away with fantastic memories. The hotel itself is beautiful - very tastefully done, history buffs will love the many anecdotes the staff share - and the staff is brilliantly thoughtful: they made the stay for our family, especially the senior citizens and children, particularly comfortable. There are a host of activities that you can do - swimming, squash, indoor games, a small safari, birdwatching - but at the end of the day, it's just the sheer beauty of the landscape that surrounds you that makes it all worthwhile. Monsoons and Winter would be an ideal time to visit, but this one is a winner all-year-around.
Heavenly
ipilot320on 28/02/2017 01:09I recently visited this place. When I left home. I had no idea about property. But when I reached here, the experience was heavenly. Luxury rooms, good food, royal treatment. This place has got something for every one. Birders, stargazers and nature lovers will find this place very exciting. Away from city hustle bustle a great destination to unwind.
Absolute bliss
Rashi1310on 23/02/2017 14:51On of the best hotels I have visited. Very well maintained. Warm staff. Brilliant rajasthani food. Picture perfect sun rise over the lake. Already making plans to visit it again with the family and the kids.
Wonderful art deco oasis
BridgetCambridgeon 15/02/2017 10:48Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a birding trip across Rajasthan. Voted by the group as the best of the 7 places we stayed in. Stunning views across the lake (amazing sunsets), peaceful gardens to wander in, beautiful swimming pool (bracing, but fantastic views) and spacious rooms, each with a separate bathroom and dressing room. The staff were helpful, friendly and keen to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The food was cooked especially for us and was delicious. Only grumble was the wifi didnt work throughout our stay. Birdlife from and around the hotel was fantastic. The resident eagle owl was a real wow factor for us. It's about an hours drive from Jodphur and quite a small bumpy road but well worth it for the peaceful location. My room was overlooking the gardens and was fine, but if I'd chosen I would have had one of the two overlooking the lake.
Serene and Beautiful
Sarawgi_Rahulon 23/11/2016 11:11Excellent place to stay if you like properties away from hustle and bustle of the town.
The rooms are big enough to make your stay a comfortable one. We had the view of the lake from our rooms which was brilliant. The restaurant, common areas are very well done and maintained. The hospitality of the place is remarkable, you just say what you want and its done. Al the staff members are well mannered and know the job really well.
We did two rounds of safaris as well. One was village safari in which we saw the dam and some village houses from inside and the other one was a jeep safari to see deer and blackbucks. We were accompanied by Mr. Mukesh and he really made us enjoy this.
The food was freshly cooked and was excellent and made according to your taste.
I loved each and every bit of our stay here and would definitely recommend this place to all.
