May not be the Ritz but
A Terry Son 13/09/2016 19:27And extremely clean comfortable and quiet place to stay which also has breakfast and very friendly owner. Has everything you need right in the room. Has a very reasonable rate and within walking distance to many little cafés.
Lovely little old motel
allan kon 31/08/2016 17:32This is a very nice older motel owned and operated by a cheerful woman. Motel has been redone, with new mattresses, great sheets and towels and new carpet. Some fixtures are older but my room was sparkling clean and the property is well maintained, showing pride of ownership. This is the only motel in town (in the entire region) and yet is reasonably priced and professionally run. Breakfast is the standard donuts/cereal/coffee. There are no nearby services other than gas. I consider this a nice little oasis in a sparsely populated region.
Stay here only if you are desparate
roadtripwomanon 17/09/2015 15:48$88 for a room that would have been acceptable at $59. Drapes were falling off curtain rods, a/c functioned but it was dirty and you could see outside around the unit, shower wall had 2' crack, bathroom ceiling was dirty, TV was old tube type with no HD. Wifi worked, beds were ok and room was quiet. Breakfast room was messy and dirty and selection was poor. Office was messy and smelled like smoke. Woman who checked us in was very friendly.
Comfortable stay
LiciaWon 07/09/2015 14:26We stayed here as we planned to visit Little Bighorn and didn’t want a long drive in the morning.
We had pre-booked and were checked in quickly.
The motel is a bit dated , but very clean. Coming from the UK we love these small retro motels.
It had everything we needed, comfy bed, TV, free wifi, complimentary breakfast and laundry facilities. It was red hot when we were there and we were thankful for the efficient aircon.
There are plenty of parking spaces.
Ranchester is pretty much a one horse town. There is a bar next door, but as we had teenagers with us we didn’t try it. Instead we walked down the street to” Eat Street” which I can highly recommend.
After our meal we walked back and sat on the chairs outside the rooms soaking up the last of the sun whilst the boys did the laundry.

Flumpsmomon 11/07/2015 17:44We stopped here passing through after visiting Yellowstone Park and it was getting late. It is a small hotel in a tiny community. The front desk was pleasant and had us checked in quickly. We had a double queen room which was a bit dated in its decor but the beds were comfortable and the bedding fresh and clean. There was new flat screen tv and a fridge in the room, as well as a small table and chair set. The air conditioner worked well. The bathroom was nice and clean but definitely showing its age. The only complaint was the breakfast. It is strictly continental which is fine, but the donuts were dry and stale. The juice was just drink crystals and we did not try making toast because the peanut butter and jam were large family style tubs which we did not consider hygienic.
