I had to stay just because of the name!! No Regrets!!
Mark Don 25/05/2017 17:16While researching potential B&Bs in St. Joseph I came across the Whiskey Mansion B&B. They had me at the name but the wonderful reviews put me over the top. This is a beautifully restored victorian mansion. On street parking was not a problem. Service from checking in to breakfast was top notch. Our room was spacious with individual temperature control. After settling in my wife and I walked to the downtown area for dinner, with a nice stroll back to walk off dessert. Take advantage of the spacious wrap around porch to enjoy a nice evening talk or cocktail with someone special.
authenic victorian living
Harold Ton 23/05/2017 05:36this is a great place for those who want to stay in a victorian manshion. authenic decor, great comfortable beds with hd tv, and a great breakfast served. the only knock about this place is that some of the houses in the neighborhood need updating. the brick mansion across the street is wonderful to look at. downtown st joseph mo has a lot of great victorian houses nearby with several needing updating and that is occuring one by one.
Wonderful Historic Mansion
Duane98on 31/03/2017 04:45We took a spring break trip to Kansas City and St Joseph Mo. Our St Jo accommodations were in the Whiskey Mansion Inn. This is a wonderfully restored and well staffed B and B. This 1885 brick mansion near downtown St. Jo offered wonderful furnishings and fixtures in a beautifully restored building. The breakfasts are very tasty. The neighborhood looks a little rough with a few other wonderful older homes, but it's quiet and restful at the Whiskey Inn.
Beautiful, historic home in St. Joseph
we2nluvon 09/03/2017 21:43This amazing, historic home was painstakingly restored and it is breathtaking. It is a lovely, romantic getaway. The breakfasts both mornings were really delicious - spinach & pepper quiche with home made sour dough toast, drizzled with honey; french toast casserole to die for. Both breakfasts were also served with fresh fruit. Yummy. The hostess, who did everything from cook and serve breakfast to clean rooms, and give great ideas on what to see in St. Joe, was friendly, professional and very nice. We stayed in the room with the jetted soaking tub. So relaxing. The reason I didn't give 5 stars - the transom windows in each room didn't have coverings, so the hall light and the light from the room across from ours were very bright and lit up our room well into the night. Also, although the furniture was lovely and antique, the bed was quite uncomfortable. Even with these two things, however, I would highly recommend a stay here.
Wonderful night
producerkoofon 14/02/2017 19:03Check-in was flawless at the Whiskey Mansion B & B. We had never stayed at a B&B before so we were not sure what to expect. The interior was gorgeous with many period pieces. The room had two large, comfortable beds and was in a corner of the B&B so lots of natural light. The bathroom was good and clean. Breakfast the next day was delicious. Overall, a wonderful stay for our first visit to St. Joseph.
